Xbox 360 gamers spend $85,000 a day on pizza app.

Pizza Hut has revealed that Xbox Live gamers spent more than $1 million (£607,681) on pizza through a app in just four months.

Launched on the Xbox 360 in April 2013, the app allows users to construct pizzas using their controller or the motion and voice controls of the Kinect peripheral.

"It's been a source of unbelievable growth for us," Pizza Hut director of public relations Doug Terfehr told Polygon. "Just the explosion of people who wanted to download it, experiment with it, play with it with Kinect. As soon as we did one, everyone was contacting us to do the next [one]."

Reps for the food chain wouldn't say whether the app would be heading to PlayStation or Nintendo consoles, but did say that they are waiting for a larger install base on the Xbox One before releasing the app on Microsoft's next gen machine.

Terfehr said that Pizza Hut would now be focusing on improving its iOS and Android apps to match the experience on Xbox 360.

I don't care what people think. I would use that app if I liked Pizza Hut pizza (which is shittier than those Totino's frozen pizza-things, IMO).

I'd take Little Caesars over Pizza Hut. Especially since LC has $5 pizza.

Oh, I no. My wife is from New York. Every time we visit we hit a Pizza place. We have a NY Pizza place in our state called Napoli's. Owned by Italians who lived in NY most of there lives. There pizza is the best. Uno's makes the best deep dish pan pizza though. They are on the East coast.

So? Say the average pizza purchase was 12 bucks, that's a little over 7000 orders a day. A lot less if people buy bread sticks and drinks or multiple pizzas and are spending more. Not a lot for a country with 314 million people in it.

Little Ceasars is feces, sure... but ch'a can't beat that 5 dollar insta meal sometimes.... ;) I'd put the Hut above Papa Johns, Uno's Spinaccoli pizza above that.... I'd take pizzeria style pizza over the chains any day....
