Worst ports this generation?

What are some of the worst ports currently on the market?

PC: Quantum Break, Batman: Arkham Knight, Mafia III

PS4: Just Cause 3, Lichdom Battlemage, BroForce

Xbox One: Just Cause 3, APB Reloaded, Lichdom Battlemage

Quantum Break is a complete mess of a port. GPU usage caps out at 80% for some strange reason. Unplayable without upscaling which makes the game uglier.

Arkham Knight goes without saying.

Mafia III runs like a turd but isn't as bad as the other two.

PS4

Just Cause 3 is straight up unplayable on consoles with terrible, unstable frame rate, screen tearing and abysmal load times.

Lichdom might be the worst performing console game ever.

BroForce for some strange reason runs like it was Uncharted 4 supersampled to 8K.

Xbox One

APB is a nightmare. Most of you probably don't know but it is. Everything is messed up from graphical glitches, to garbage performance to frequent crashes to screen tearing. It's as if performance issues had an annual gathering and APB Reloaded was the meeting spot.

@Juub1990: Nier Automata, needed a user fix to run right.

Don't forget AC Unity. Forza Horizon 3 was pretty bad at launch also.

Mafia 3 runs horribly on every platform.

He's a PC gamer and it's funny how the "peasants" version ran better than the "master races" version, and it's even funnier that the "master race" are even lowering themselves to play a "peasants" game in the first place :P

broforce had horrible freezes during gameplay shame on sony for letting that game release and be on PS+ game while it was running like crap I think they fixed it now though

Arkham Knight is a strange one. If you had an AMD graphics card, you got serious problems. But for me it ran fine day one on a GTX 750 TI at 30 fps.

As usual, FH3 was a case of the game not living up to snobby PC gamer standards, but was still better than the Xbone version in every conceivable way. Which is how it usually goes. A bad PC port is still usually better than the best console version.

Everything from draw distance, to shadows, to reflections, to texture resolutions, to texture filtering, etc. was better on the PC version. And of course you had the option for higher rendering resolutions and double the framerate.

Framerate is where it became an issue. PC gamers don't want to settle for 30fps like the console version. But running 60fps was more demanding than it should have been. People were bitching because the framerate was dropping to the 50s and 40s (again, still higher than the Xbone version).

So no, the "peasant" version didn't run better. At the very best, it met the minimum of what the PC version was capable of.

And of course the performance issues have been patched, making it that much better.

Evil Within on PS4/Xbox1.

It was that bad that Console gamers consider this masterpiece to be crap.(It was hard to control with a Controller and it had lots of graphical and performance issues )

Quantum break on Steam is fine port. i think you were talking about windows store.

worst port has to be arkham knights, evil within. absolutely terrible.

Just Cause 3, on ps4pro, is a lot better.

The worst I've seen was Arkham Knight. My most disappointing one was TLoU Remastered. This was a rough port and is unfortunately real sub-par treatment of an excellent game. Scripting errors, sometimes broken A.I, gamma issues. It's not nearly as polished as the original, but the improved framerate make the hassles tolerable.

LOL. 30fps is not great. People were complaining because the game was coded for peasant standards and was not optimized for PC. 30fps was easy to do on the PC version. A solid 60fps was not achievable until they did the CPU optimization patch months later. Also, Forza is a great series and is long overdue on PC. Especially the Horizon series which is limited to 30fps on Xbox. I had no issues playing the Motorsport series on Xbox as it ran at 60fps (except for the very first one which was 30fps).

What makes the PC port Terrible ? It may not be the best PC port but it was far from the worst.

@Vatusus: Actually I tried The game with a Controller on PC. Controlling camera and movements wasn't as good as mouse and keyboard Imo.

Haven't had any problems with Mafia 3 on PC, except that the game is incredibly forgettable. Arkham Knight was broken on release, but it runs like a dream now. Quantum Break is a little broken, however. I also hear Nier is broken, but I don't have it.

For pc it's no doubt arkham knight, I bought the gamen on steam 7-8 months after release and during 3 hours of playtime I had 4 crashes... luckily steam refunded it, no question asked!(normally you can't refund after 2 hours of playtime).

Looooove steam!!!

Never had any problems with evil within, so not sure why that is mentioned....

To me are these mid gen upgrade in consoles.
