Sad. I went from not interested to definitely not interested.
Update: looks like developer is saying that's not the case after all.

Now developer is saying that's not the case...https://www.gameinformer.com/update/2019/06/13/says-wolfenstein-youngblood-has-cosmetic-microtransactions
If micro-transactions are implemented in a manner to hinder regular gameplay then its a no go. If not, then its a non-issue.
Just play RTCW.
Yeah uhm I think that game's multiplayer is long dead by now.
Nope, people are still playing this and ET.

I feel like that's an overraction not worth tossing the potential of the game away for that..
Picking battles and everything.
Why on earth would anyone buy cosmetic items in single player games? At least you can have bragging rights in multiplayer games so I sorta get it. But a disco shirt when playing alone? Why? Streaming? Immersion?
If it's there it's because people buy them.
So they say weapon upgrades available in game but people can short-cut the task of acquiring them by paying... I am okay with this. Aren't they also doing something where one person can purchase game and have a friend who didn't play online with them just unable to get achievements like A Way Out did? If so, why are we even questioning them like they're pushing abusive anti-gaming practices.
I'd also be fine if they had pay-to-win competitive online because I never found the latest entries in series to have that great of gameplay that I want to play against other people, it's only just good enough to get me through an SP campaign but it isn't Doom and I dare say I enjoyed Rage 2 more than any of last few Wolfenstein games.
