With MS buying bethesda etc, there is no reason why it should come in 2nd or 3rd place next gen?

I'm assuming you're talking console sales. Considering MS makes their games all available PC day 1, If Xbox sales are even close to PS5's it would be a massive collapse for the PS brand.

Well considering that Microsoft also put their games on PC I would imagine that the PS5 will still outsell the Xbox Series consoles.

MS need to focus on releasing games people want to play that will happen but could be 2 years down the line.

If MS needs a developer that won't factor the XB1 into things when designing a game then it needs to be for the next Elder Scrolls games.

I think the polls speak for themselves. The OG Xbox had Morrowind and Doom 3 and it still got crushed by the PS2. Sony knows what to do when it's crunch time.

Yeah, Fallout 76 sucked but it's one game and someone could even argue it's more of a spin-off to the main line single player Fallout games.

It will be filled with micro transactions to make up the development cost. ES games cost more than a 100 million, they cannot just put it on GS in their current size and scope for nothing.

What about we the consumers? Exclusives suck for consumers. Consolidation sucks for consumers. $70 games suck for consumers. Overpriced rehash and remakes suck for consumers. Paid online sucks for consumers.

I don't want any of these companies to 'win', whatever the hell that is supposed to mean. The best we can hope for is real 3 way competition that keeps these companies from bleeding us dry.

Fallout 76 may have been a dude but I guarantee that when Bethesda show off a proper Fallout game, Elder Scrolls VI, and probably Star Field as well gamers are going frothing at the mouth for those games.

Companies seek growth not rank.
