With Kingdom Hearts HD outselling Final Fantasy X HD

In the America. does that make Americans smarter, considering kingdom hearts 1.5 is a much better game than final fantasy x and x-2?

This is just sad conslites buying HD remakes when you get that for free on pc.

I agree. Static turn-based combat is a chore now. I tried playing FFXHD but I couldn't. After playing Lightning Returns I can't go back to slow-paced combat games now.

Could be indicative of the quality of each game. Or maybe popularity? I still need to get my copy of FFX for Vita sometime.

Would be awesome if Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 remixes were released for Vita like FFX. That'd be pretty rad.

I don't know if I would rank Kingdom Hearts above FFX.

People were clearly put off by how poorly Kingdom Hearts aged and therefor didn't want to risk feeling that sting second time if FFX had aged just as poorly. Luckily it's aged much better. The lingering stink of Lightning Returns may have played a part in it as well.

FFX sold better than FF 9.

9 came at the end of the PS1 era while 10 came at the start of the PS2 era, unfair comparison.

Let's get this straight. Kingdom hearts is pretty good at best, it's just, Final Fantasy 10 and 10-2 are so bad, it make's kingdom hearts look so much better.

Doesn't surprise me since FFX is highly overrated.

Kingdom Hearts is what you get when know nothing Nomura takes Disney characters and movies, rapes them, and then pisses all over them. The franchise is complete garbage because Nomura doesn't get why Disney works.

That's kind of surprising. I would expect Final Fantasy X HD would have a wider audience, although I never actually looked at the sales numbers for either on the PS2.

Can't argue with either not being great games from their time though, I played and loved both. Kingdom Hearts HD might appeal more because of it's including Kingdom Hearts from across platforms (thus increasing accessibility). Kingdom Hearts did have it's issues with simplicity in combat, but the characters made up for that and helped make it a fantastic game.

Kingdom hearts 1 outsold Final Fantasy X in north america by a large margin "Almost 2-1" and Kingdom hearts 2 outsold Final Fantasy 12 Easily

Final fantasy is bigger in japan, but kingdom hearts is a much more popular franchise in the west.

Final fantasy X was the last good final fantasy game before the franchise strayed to far away from what originally made it great.

KH came out last year and FFX HD just came out so which period are you exactly comparing between the two? lifetime sales?( if so then it dosent work as KH came last year and FFX just came out ) or are you comparing the first month sales of the two games?

FFX HD did over 200k in first month but how much did KH do? remember FFX is on two devices

Kingdom hearts 1.5 sold 270k, and this shouldn't surprise anyone, kingdom hearts is a bigger than final fantasy in the west.

And i'm comparing kingdom hearts first month on NPD to Final Fantasy's First month at the NPD, and despite final fantasy being on 2 platforms, it still failed to outsell kingdom hearts.

They are both very good games.

l think X-HD just was announced soooo long ago and took so long to come out that people lost interest. Plus the extra content wasn't as good as the 1.5 content, imo.

Interesting indeed! ( both sold really well on first month ) but pretty amazing that KH sold a lot more on 1 system than FFX on two devices but i hope both will crack over 2 mil so that SE hurry up and make more of these games or similar.

i for one bought KH HD and FFX HD ( on both PS3 and Vita lol ) and loving both collections!

Not many people are into those HD remakes. I don't own kingdom heart 1, final fantasy X and final fantasy X-2 anymore and as much as I loved KH and FFX ( FF X-2 .... no comments) as sure as hell ain't going to buy them in HD. To me the HD remakes are for those that never played the game to begin with. I can't rebuy a game for a graphical update and little bit of extra content, makes no sense to me.

I have love enough for both KH and FFX. FFX-2 will have to stay outside in the rain however.
