Witchfire new FPS for PC from former People Can Fly devs

The guys behind The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter have made a new game that is only confirmed for PC currently. The graphics are really good just like Ethan Carter and the game looks pretty old school too. Are old school shooters getting a revival, last year was Doom and Shadow Warrior 2, now we got a bunch of indie old school shooters coming out as well.

It's only confirmed for PC. The game looks good. You get to use powers in the game.

I didnt think i would get somewhat excited with any FPS games. Metro Exodus and Witchfire made me rethink that. Both having this dark tone i love, great post-apocalyptic settings, super good graphics ...im sold with both.

Looks pretty good so far...now let's get it released on consoles.

im pretty sure Doom 2 will release in 2019 and having announcement in 2018.

that and Metro exodus would be amazing combination of becoming some of greatest FPS of all time.

and revival of these games are the reason i dont miss half life/valve anymore.

when i first saw this. i thought its another walking sim. then i saw gun and i got hype!!.

its great to see indie developer not making walking sim.

They'll probably run out of money mid development, strip down the graphics 300%, and make it a multiplat title (like what happened with Witcher 3). PC gaming is still too niche to get big budget exclusives. Hope I'm wrong though.

Ooooh. No UI.

I hope the game will provide alternative means of tracking damage. There are many games that allow turning off the UI. But, their SP player campaign was designed so that the UI is required.

Although I put up with the UI because it's required, it pains me to see the main screen looking like a jet fighter HUD.

New Doom kind of ruined the genre with its glory-kill system. It's sooo good that all other games feel kind of meh now. Just the way it creates moments to breathe and truly incentivize movement. I hope they will make a Doom 2 with an even more fleshed out system.

This game could be cool, but there's nothing that excites me about thus far (granted they haven't really shown anything).

The opening trailer made it seem like it was going to be a shitty do nothing "ze arts" game, sometimes it's good to be wrong. More bang-bang shooty shot is always welcome.

they know peoples hate walking simulators thats why they tease us with walking sim then proceed to show us fast paced old school shooter.

I'm intrigued for sure and this is a day one purchase PC.

Hehe, good stuff. For my taste though im not into arcadish Doom style, i never was so Doom 2 wont be my thing. Great combination nevertheless. Witchfire looks interesting, i hope it plays greatly as well.
