Will you be getting Spyro Trilogy tomorrow? 85 on MC

I would have gotten this game if Activision put all three games on the disk. It's silly that they can't do that for people. They did it for Crash Bandicoot. I'll probably get it when it's much cheaper. Will you be getting it, SW?

I've always wondered why games like Spyro and Bandicoot were regarded so highly. Neither series ever grabbed me, maybe I was in a different spot in my gaming life at the time.

I’ll pass on this myself. Not because they didn’t put all the games on the disc however that was definitely a lousy thing to do.

I'm really hype, Spyro Reignited Trilogy is my most anticipated game I been waiting for since it's announcement, I was a huge fan of Spyro games on PS1 many years and and already pre-order PS4 digital version. Replaying Spyro on PS4 is a homecoming feel as if I'm playing it again on PS1. I can't wait!!!

Crash was the first mascot for Sony's grand debut PS1, it was their mascot seeing if this will take off. Spyro on PS1 at the time was the first game to feature an open-world adventure platforming game on PS1, Spyro was an addictive game during the early days of PS1. Spyro trilogy is pretty good. Nothing revolutionary, but they're pretty fun. All in all, both Crash & Spyro get's lots of praises for those who love and enjoy the games on PS1. I was only 13 when Spyro the Dragon launch on PS1 and my childhood gaming life was all over the place so yeah.

@davillain-: This explanation is kind of what I expected, which is to say that it's perfectly understandable.

At that time, I was busy playing a bunch of computer games, and would on occasion play Tekken or Twisted Metal 2 at a friend's house. I wasn't all that into console stuff. It didn't appeal to me.

Huge fan of the original Spyro games, but waiting for the (hopefully) inevitable Switch port.

i could just get this on my PS4 but these types of games (platformers) i like to play in handheld mode.

When it ultimately comes to the PC, would really consider it. I loved the first two Spyro games. Been forever since I played them though (probably since they came out)

I loved Crash back in the day, but playing it again with the remaster, it just didn't click anymore. I'm assuming Spyro will be the same.

Absolutely not. It’s a kids game with plenty of nostalgia for when many have played it, but it never sold me as a great franchise.

Was never interested in the series when it first came out. Even if it were, the fact that not all the games on the disc is a deal breaker. I have far too many games to play to put up with bullshit like that.

Nope, never played these games in their day and have no nostalgic attachment driving me to play it now. Definitely not putting Red Dead Redemption 2 on hold for that nonsense.

I think it's silly that anyone would consider the fact that all the data isn't included on the disc a reason not to buy it. What's the last game that didn't require extra downloads? Don't you want the patches/fixes too? We gave up complete releases when we embraced the internet, current year argument, etc.... Weird, but whatever works for you.

No microtransactions or loot boxes, no dumb pre-order bonuses, no many different launch versions. I support it just on those merits alone, which is sad, but that's where we are now.

So far I've played through Artisans's World, the graphics are really nice and the controls are tight but the camera is kinda wonky at times just like the original.

I might consider it if it ever comes to PC but otherwise I'm not really interested so no.

Didn't grow up with spyro so no I was more into JRPG's on the ps1

I preordered it and it - together with 5 themes - unlocked at midnight. Haven't played it yet though, I want to finish Tales of Berseria first. But after that I intend to plat all 3 games

I liked Spyro back in the day. but these days find the games pretty boring. Will still check it out fir the graphics when it's dirt cheap. Much prefer Crash now.

nope, i have a gaming grip for my Switch and a custom joy jon with an actual D-pad so it feels better then a DS4 in my hands.
