Will Wii Fit sells more units than PS3 ?

Wii Fit has sold around 17 000 000 units

PS3 has sold aroun 22 000 000 units

Wii Fit sells around 1 000 000 units per month

PS3 sells around 300 000 units per month.

Is there any explanation and what will happen ? Could this mark the end of the gaming industry as we know it ?

I would say no. Also :roll: can we please stop this end of the industry crap? Its getting old.

That's really impresive, although we must consider the giant difference among Wii consoles already sold (about 48 million) when compared to PS3s sold (about 22 million). Unless the long-living console plan works well for the PS3, there will be more Wii Fits sold than PS3s.

All this tells me that ppl are willing to fork over cash for Wii fit's then PS3...

People only look at wii fit because of the sales, why can't anyone see the game for what it is? Its a fun game!!!! wait, nevermind.

It (along with others of its kind) is potentially the reason companies like SCEA aren't profiting from those games.

They appeal to people that buy video games. Those people prefer games such as Wii Fit to the competition. Those people do not buy the competition's games, the competition does not profit.

It's a little flimsy, but if those games didn't exist, less people would buy Wii's and more people would potentially be buying other systems.

Why would they have a choice? They already bought a Wii, because they thought it would be fun. Regardless of whether or not they love it or hate it and how old they are, now they can't possibly buy Gears of War, whether they want to or not.

And Killzone 2 has not been profitable to my knowledge.

Yes. And it's not harming the industry, it's just good buisness. Nintendo made a rival product that people simply want more. If sony wants to sell PS3s at that rate, they should better understand consumers next time.
