Have been watching this, and it reminded me that once upon a time, Ubisoft used to think and create ambitious titles. Do y'all still care about the game, or the hype is long gone and forgotten?

@hardwenzen: I liked the original. But damn man I was legit a child when that came out lol.. I'm 30 now.
Development hell, hopefully not a duke nukem forever situation.. that game was horrible.. peace mealing a game over 3 gens is just stupid. Just cancel it

Hopefully? This will surpass Duke Nukem Forever situation. Not only is there no chance for this thing to come out in good shape, but when it does, its gonna be an MTX galore. Every pick up in the environment will remind you with a pop up that you can visit their store, and a bunch of intrusive additions like that. This is Ubisoft afterall.
From what I gathered, Ubisoft had a rough year or two with some poor-selling games (Tom Clancy: Breakpoint and Watch Dogs: Legion), so they restructured a lot and are now focusing on one or two games at a time.
This is why we got Far Cry and Assassin's Creed, but they've either mothballed or put on the backburner the Settlers game and Beyond Good and Evil 2.
But yeah, still very disappointing it isn't out yet.
@hardwenzen: Fenix rising was pretty good. Sold like shit tho. Let's hope for the best lol
It sold like shit because it was nothing but a shit game. The humour alone was beyond cringe, and not the good kind of cringe you'll find in Hight on Life.
I think it's time to ask ourselves whether this game is worth following... I wouldn't hold my breath. The game is niche to begin with and ubisoft has not been making their best games. Very real that this never sees the light of day. Don't lose sleep over it.
Well they clearly have no vision or plan for this game. Is not a good sign. This is why I didn't play the original. What is the point when the story is not concluded.
I think it's utterly dumb people continually mention the devs have been slaving away at this for 15 years with no results. You know what the devs have been doing the last 15 years? Putting out like 16 other games since the first Beyond Good and Evil released.
Seriously, people need to stop acting like this is stuck in 15 years of development hell. I would guess at most they maybe brainstormed the potential sequel between projects but never put any considerable time plugging away at making a brand new entry until more recently.
Forgot this game existed until you mentioned it.
First game meh. Don't get the hype.
Ehhhhh
Meh
Bleh
eh.

yeah. control of character in that game odd thru. like worst of the recent ubi games.
They obviously did some early development on it and then put it to the bottom of their priority list. Why take the financial risk of designing an ambitious successor to an old classic when they can simply copy paste Assassin's Creed and Far Cry every two years,
