Will the Scorpio get a controller revision?

I know the Scorpio will be in the same family as Xbox one original, just like the Pro is in the same family as the original PS4.

The PS4 came with a revised controller (light comes through the top touch pad, small but it's different?)

Wondering what everybody thinks? I would love it if they just included an elite controller.

I wouldn't mind a revision. I personally am not a big fan of how the triggers are atm, I accidentally push them when not meaning too alot.

It would be nice to see a scaled down Elite, but keeping things such as the weight and interchangeable sticks/d-pad.

The only thing that it needs to be the perfect controller would be to make it a little bit bigger, about the same size that the 360 controller was.

I will be using my Elite controller until it dies/breaks at which point I'd buy another elite controller.

I don't care and imo think MS should release the lowest priced base model Scorpio with out controller, head set, etc. just the console and cables to hook it up. For that lower price point

Good question, I always like seeing controller revisions for a new gen.

I would assume they would come out with a controller that fits the style of the Scorpio, could be only cosmetic stuff or maybe added functionality. Dont know, but I'm fairly certain they'll have something because Microsoft markets their various Xbox One controllers a lot.

So that's another opportunity basically, but other than the business aspect of it, I think a lot of people would like something that is at least cosmetically more compatible with whatever the Scorpio will look like.

They should spend money on making games that are interesting, rather then wasting 100 million on another controller.

If they do a revision, I hope they don't change it much... the XB1 controller is easily my fav controller. Don't mess with it MS!

Actual Elite controller production costs are not supposed to be high, if I am not wrong- it is just sold at a markup as a premium product.

I'll go with no, only because the Elite exists and any revision that improves the base controller pushes people away from the premium model. The only improvement I care about with the X1 controller is the bumper buttons. I find the triggers and everything else wholly suitable.

There was a revision along with the s console. Its perfect already though.

You are wrong it cost around ~110 to make an elite controller. This information comes from a program manager who was on that team.

@charizard1605: When they ship a Surface Studio that cost $3000 with a HDD and a mobile GPU and Intel Core i5 processor, and still have tones of people buying it. they're not making the Elite controller any cheaper.

Its probably come with the Xbox One S controller. Would be a cool option to buy an elite packaged with it though.

it needs to be more like the ps4 controller its way more comfortable the bumpers and the triggers feel much smoother on ps4

The Bumpers are very clicky on xb1 and take a lot of force to click in and make tons of noise

The triggers on xb1 are very snappy and also need a lot of force the ps4 just slide in nice and easily

The PS4 has a lightbar and motion pad that works like a mouse'

PS4 controller came with a headset jack for all head sets

Comparing between Playstation and Xbox controller history is nothing alike. Sony was stagnant on controller design for 3 generations before they finally gave it a renovation, that was long overdue.

Xbox had two designs in its original generation, refined it for the 360, and pretty much nailed it with the XB1. There might be an idea in how they could tweak it, but I see little need for a whole new design.
