Quite probable.
that's what I was gonna guess......with (what seems to be) disappointing sales for JRPGs Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata on the 360....I'm sure that doesn't please the Japanese devs and doesn't increase the chances of any other big franchise (DQ, KH, or FF) to come to the 360.
i say multi plat games having a bit lower quality than 360 games has something to do with it just a small something maybe more gamers using internet these days. but multi plat games usually end up better on 360. install base+quality farsendorAnd the only reason the 360 version is better is because of the bigger userbase..... It's a vicious cycle. Good thing time alone will break it as devs learn the PS3. I could see the PS3 GTA4 outselling 360's long term. Maybe DMC4 too if the game isn't dumbed down too much. But PS3 will likely slowly overtake 360 unless MS making immediate drastic changes.... Like a $99 Core and $149 premium. Just too many games coming for you fanboys to ignore it much longer.

FFand KH have western appeal so there is still a small lingering hope of some kind of games from those series. DQ not in a million years.
DMC4 might.......---OkeyDokey---
At first I was thinking the same thing, but on second thought it, might not.
I suspect there's a lot of former PS2 owners that now own a 360 who are going to buy this game.
How can multiplats sell more on PS3 when the userbase isless thanhalf of X360? Why do you think devs focus more on X360 multiplats? Even EA said last month they're going with X360 as their lead sku from now on. The only waySonyis going to getPS3 out of this rut is by excellent 1st & 2nd party games such as R&C and Uncharted. They need to continue this trend...PS3 needs to stand on its own & show it has more to offer than X360 does. When a consumer sees they can play DMC4, VF5(with online), GTA4 etc on a cheaper system, with a larger library, and arguably better online service...what do you think they're going to do?
I was so close to buying a PS3 last night. I started to think...What would i be using it for? I said to myself; R&C, Uncharted, HS & that's about all im interested in this holiday. Everything else is on X360 and has the perks i like; achievements, controller & an online community im accustomed to. So basically PS3 would be a BD player for me well into 08'. I dunno man....I still may buy 1 around X-Mas time. *shrug*
Sure. Like a few have said, Eternal Sonata is likely as it's a pretty popular genre with Japanese people.
And when (or "if") the PS3 passes the 360 userbase, we'll probably have more multiplats sell better on the PS3 than the 360.
I own both a 360 and PS3... I buy all my multiplats on 360 because of achievements, rumble, usually better overall.
Only time I will buy a multiplat game on a PS3 is if it is massively better then the 360 version. Which isn't going to happen any time soon.
"If" more than "when". The vicious cycle of third-party development is already under way: platform has larger userbase, devs code for more popular platform, platform gets more games, gamers get more of the platform, etc...Sure. Like a few have said, Eternal Sonata is likely as it's a pretty popular genre with Japanese people.

the-very-best
And so far, Sony's attempts to break the cycle have been uniformly ineffective. Unless they hurry up, their big guns may well be "too little too late". After all, we're already halfway through this generations, and the casuals will only wait so long.

well DMC 1 sold something like 450 000 copies in japan its first week if i remember correctly, so i think jpn sales could maybe push it infront of the 360 version.....don't think the series is quite as popular anymore though.[QUOTE="50u1r34v3r"][QUOTE="---OkeyDokey---"]DMC4 might.......---OkeyDokey---

Capcom's realizing that America is a big link in the game food chain. Why else would they be giving 360 its fair share of attention? Please Log In to post.
