Will Microsoft finally have a good E3 this year?

I mean, I've thought they've had consistently decent E3's since 2016 but alright.

What first party bangers have they released since then?

Yeah, I'm not playing this game. I never said that their first party offerings have been great but you asked if they'll ever have a good E3 and I think they have.

Their acknowledgement of backwards compatibility, the best console to play multi-platform games and Game Pass were enough to make me get an Xbox One and it will take a lot from Sony to make me go back to them.

No one tunes into E3 to watch announcements for old games. If 360 didn't have a 100% failure rate Microsoft wouldn't have needed to implement BC.

The best place to play multiplats is PC. The best console to play multiplats is PS5. Faster loading times, more stable framerates and a larger population for MP games.

I voted no but hoping to be surprised.

Some of the biggest franchises in gaming will grace the MS stage in the coming E3's,maybe not this one but there will be some bangers on sunday,starfield being the one last thing will win this E3 and break the internet

I can only see MS winning this year's E3 if they show gameplay on The Gunk and its the only MS exclusives game I'm really hype for...besides Halo: Infinite but still.

Gameplay of The Gunk and a release date would be great.

Saw the leaks over at Resetera and man... Lems really should set expectations very low on new announcements. On nintendo side a new Mario x Rabbit is leaked.

Dude that leaks got a very good track record on many things all these years.

I don't think Microsoft really has bad shows as far as entertainment goes. They just rely a bit too much on third party and hype up games that are extremely far away. I think if they only showed releases coming up in the next 12 months, similar to what Nintendo aside from Metroid and BOTW 2, then people would be more satisfied overall.

No matter what they show lemmings will pretend it's the greatest thing ever. That leak is brutal enough to be real though. Sounds like no bangers from Microsoft yet again.

Microsoft needs some bangers...yesterday. They better be coming out with some during e3. Drop Halo Inf and a couple other bangers to compete with ratchet.

Anyway, MS has had great E3 showings over the past few years. I don't remember anyone (except cows of course) saying that their showing was bad. I'm confident this years will be solid too.

I didn't vote because I have no idea what they're going to show. It's time for Phil to put up or shut up (sane people might argue Phil shutting up is absolutely the very best thing he could ever do).

He's bleating on about a first party game every three months. That means literally nothing till we know what the games in question are.

I have a vested interest in this since I'm paid up to Gamepass for the foreseeable future. So any good news for MS is good news for me and on that basis at least I'm rooting for them.

The OP might want to ask the same question of Sony though. Returnal has come and gone, Ratchet and Clank is happily living up to its (seemingly justified) hype. But what comes next? Not a lot from where I'm sitting.

No reason for either camp to be particularly excited IMO but hopefully both will surprise us with amazing announcements I mean we're all gamers, that's what we all want, right?

I think they are set to have their best show in years. The true question is whether or not they will go for broke showing everything they have (to drive excitement which I tend to think they will do) or if they just show a couple/few games not wanting to show things very early in development.

Either way I'm hoping they kill it. They need a good show, and the aftermath here would be priceless.
