Will any of the most beloved franchises in gaming come from this gen?

Just to name some of the current ones from previous gens- Mario, Zelda, Metal Gear, Grand Theft Auto. Megaman, Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo, Halo. 20 years from now, do you think any of the franchises that started this gen will still exist and be as beloved as the ones previously mentioned?

Uncharted, other than that I really don't know.

If Bayonetta gets a sequel, yes. Oh and I personally love Assassin's Creedfunsohng

forgot about Assassin's Creed, I'd put that on the list as well. though I personally don't care for it they are quality games and they have a HUGE following :P

I don't see any of the franchises this gen to go on to be like a Mario or a Pokemon. This gen has been pretty underwhelming in terms of new IPs.

Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Gears of Wars and Uncharted. Can't think of anything else.

Assassin's Creed is definitly there. I can't see Uncharted being remembered that well twenty years from now. It hasn't done anything too revolutionary and Naughty Dog move onto something different every gen. I'd say Gears of War will make it, though, because it's already affected the shooter genre in every possible way since its release.

Bioshocked is pretty damn beloved now.

Maybe Assassin's Creed.

not trying to be rude, just making a correction: forza actually originated from last gen on the original xbox. 2,3 and 4 are all 360 titles

Possibly Little Big Planet. other series like Uncharted and Halo will probably last a few more gens.

Dynasty Warriors' most recent outings were so innovative they basically created a new franchise. I've never seen more progression in a game series.
