Not really. Neither of those things would increase my enjoyment of the games a whole lot.
Unless the hard drive allowed you to download VC games from newer consoles... Like Saturn games, for instance.

Nah. Because I wouldn't pay $250 for the current Wii.waynehead895Would have to have a graphic update too.
For $350 dollars. Would you buy it ?Felous1

I'm going to judge this thread with that you're upset with the Elite. And to answer your question, no. Not worth the money -if- you already have one. If not sure, why not. But say goodbye to the early adapters who get screwed over.
Haha no. Im still waiting for a price drop on Wii. I mean 250 when a 360 core is only 50 bucks more seems like a jip to me. So why would I buy a Wii-lite when alls it does is supports HDTV and has 20gb HD? nothankyou.Japanese_MonkThe 360 core in canada is the biggest rip-off by microsoft It costs $100 more than the american cores.
[QUOTE="Downplays"]I'm going to judge this thread with that you're upset with the Elite.Felous1Nope. I like it. One more option.
One of the few. Which is good to see. It's just that if you already have a 360 Prem, why settle for an elite? HDMI is more for movies, which doesn't support. As the PR guy said in the Major Nelson podcast the other, he couldn't tell the different between the two (component/HDMI). So then that got me thinking "Okay. Then why in hades DID you put HDMI? Because the PS3 does? People other people say so? C'mon. Microsoft isn't that dumb, right? They could of researched the difference between the two. In all honesty, I think they did it just for that. To match the PS3. But again, it screws over the 10+ million users the 360 has now. And that includes me. So I guess we all are going to wait to see if MS gives us a good upgrade package. If not, oh well. 360 is suppose to be a game console, right?
HD graphics - The difference between SD and HD is minimal on graphics of that calibur. They aren't developed to a high reolution anyway, so there is absolutely no point in 720p support.
20GB HDD - Again, no point. Saves and the old Virtual Console games take up barely more than a few MB each. Also, due to the lack of massive HD files, we won't be seeing things like 1.5GB sized downloadable demos. I'll be happy with using a 2GB SD card when I get my Wii.Â
