Wii U>Xbox One

You know, we've been hearing a lot about how the Wii U is not next generation, and how the Xbox One and PS4 are the true next gen. And when sheep like to point out that most of Wii U's titles, such as Wind Waker HD, Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, and Mario Kart 8 all run in 1080p when Xbox One, for example, seems to struggle with that, people brush it aside as 'yeah, but those games aren't as graphically intensive!'

You're right. So, ladies and gentlemen, let me present you with this little factoid: the Xbox One runs Call of Duty: Ghosts at 720p. This has been confirmed, it struggles to run that game at any resolution beyond that. I would like to point out that the Wii U debuted with a Call of Duty gamerunning at 1080p. With no hits to performance.

we dont have any actual confirmation... But NBA 2K14,FIFA14, and Forza 5 are all 1080p 60 FPS.

Uh, Blops 2 ran at 600p on Wii-U and suffered from dips into the low teens anytime more than half-a-dozen models steeped onto the screen. Lol I'm pretty sure a you were one of the sheep with egg on their face once the truth came out.

Actually wii u black ops 2 does run in 1080p i have it in my wii u right now and it says 16:9 1080p on my tv screen.

Yeah in fact XB1 has the only 1080p, 60 FPS exclusive this year.

You see, I was only going by what we knew at the time, which is what Activision had said.

And the Wii U is significantly more powerful than the HD twins: four times as much RAM, plus a significantly more modern GPGPU

Dead Rising 3 is also 1080p...

XBox 360 and PS3 games say the same thing. It just means that they're upscaled to 1080p...

The countless developer comments stating that Wii-U is better at some things and worse at others( in relation to HD twins) and the games released thus far tells a different story. Not counting FNR 3 that released in spring 06. We saw titles like gears and uncharted that both released a year after their respective consoles launched and really showcased the generational jump. Not seeing anything from camp Nintendo that is showing that type of jump, or any jump, for that matter.

This is what I've been able to piece together from dev comments.

All I've heard is that the game has a dynamic resolution. So no clue what the max resolution of that will be. So it wont be 1080p in the traditional sense, if it even hits 1080p.

It had awful framerates, too, even while using an outdated, fully last gen game engine...

but Wii U has weaker CPU and these last gen ports were CPU intensive. But Wii U has a GPU that is much stronger than the RSX and Xenos combined. Games that make proper use of it would destroy the best looking games on the PS3 and X360.

This upcoming generation is getting a shift in balance of power from CPU to GPU for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While the Xbox 360 had a pretty good CPU, it paled in comparison to the cell processor of PlayStation 3. -ResoGun dev

Just like the Wii U, so it makes sense why last gen ports look like sh*t.

Yeah, some Wii U games do look good. I'm probably not going to get Wii U until the price drops and Zelda Wii U hits the market, though. I would get one tomorrow if they sold a version without the tablet for $199...

PC=Big ass expensive bbq grill

Xbone=Microwave

Wii u=Toster Oven

PS4 will be THE primary console to have, with the Wii U being the secondary system to own. There's no need to own a Xbox One because it will do nothing best.

A smart tv will do living room entertainment better than Xbox One.

PC will do Microsoft "console exclusives" better than Xbox One.

PS4 will do console multiplat games better than Xbox One.

Private investigators will do citizen surveillance better than Xbox One.

There's really no reason to own a Xbox One at all.

so you will pay $2000+ for a smart tv with all the capabilities of the xbone instead of just buying an xbone for $500? If you really wanted all that stuff you would be better off getting an Xbone, Wii U, PS4, keep the TV you already have now and be covered for everything while saving lots of money.

haha no. WiiU is the uncontested failure of next gen. Hell, even calling it next gen makes me facepalm
