Wii cult classics No More Heroes 1 and 2 stealth drop on Switch

We've still got a long wait for No More Heroes 3, as it's not coming to Switch until 2021, thankfully all is not lost if you are itching to play a bit of Travis Touchdown on Switch as the first two No More Heroes games, No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, which originally launched for the Wii console, have stealth dropped on to the Switch eShop today.

Finally, I can get these games. I have a Wii, but unless I find accessible versions for physical collection, these will do. I hope they aren't as bad as the PS3/360 port of NMH 1.

Cool. I’ve never played the games before but am interested in checking them out.

Hoping the second game makes an appearance on PS4 just like how the first game was on PS3.

I really enjoyed the first two games on the Wii back in the day, but I question how much of its enjoyment was because of its motion controls. I remember playing the first game years later on the PS3 and it just wasn't the same.

Also Lol this was basically a low-key announcement that No More Heroes 3 is indeed coming out next year.

I just played the tutorial and it's awesome lol. Love it much better without lame motion controls.

So it is coming. Has been announced for so long without any news that it felt like a faint memory.

@hardwenzen: That trailer was a low-key delay as well. It was kinda out and already expected but I believe this is the first official trailer that has the delay. It threw it on at the end while exciting over a port of the first two games. Kind cool that they're out on it today, though.

@jaydan: Well, like I said, the PS3 port wasn't good due to the framerate AND Move controls being complete ass.

No More Heroes 2 is one of my favorite games. LOVE IT!

A pleasant surprise for sure, I loved NMH on Wii and I'm definitely getting those games.

Hmmm... might have to go grab these. Was just thinking about getting on my Switch last night to check out the store and see what's new. Pretty sure I still have around $50 just sitting in my account. How much are they?

Right now they are on sale for 17.99 each. Not too bad! (already snapped them up myself)

have the superior wii originals, but cool. Wonder if they'll produce a cart.

Also NMH3 is currently my most hyped switch game!

Very fun games, anyone interested in Action games or weird games in general should check them, it's such a shame Travis didn't make it to Super Smash, he is a perfect fit.

So..does the game support motion controls like the originals? Recharging your katana was just fun.

Probably for the same reason Mai Shiranui or Doom Slayer won't be in Smash.

18 bucks for each? Wow. A decent price for a port of an old game on Switch? Those don't come often..

That said, not interested personally. Found them both average / good / bad in different parts with weird / mildly amusing / bad humor. I'd be much more interested in a Killer7 port.

Nah, i doubt it ... Mai's reason for not being a background character was dumb, specially since she could be done in a none skimpy way. Doom guy as much as we like the character, is not that iconic for being in Smash or maybe it wasn't in the plans at all.

IMO Travis is not in Smash because again, the franchise is probably not that important for Nintendo.
