Why the hell is everyone so wrapped about exclusives

I have a ps4. I have a PC.

Why the **** does everyone feel the need to pledge allegiance to a platform. I see people arguing on here, 25 year old men, arguing about which platform has more exclusives. Am I the only one who does not give a shit about exclusives and plays the games I like? I see people boycotting Xbox because.... The games are going to PC. DO YOU REALLY STOP YOURSELF FROM PLAYING A GAME YOU LIKE BECAUSE OTHER PEOPLE CAN ENJOY IT? It just pisses me off seeing adults act like 5 year olds.

Because it's hard not to notice that PS4 is gonna kill the competition this year with it's line up of exclusives and Xbox is just gonna kill itself! (I'm a PC guy btw)

Thats kinda what happens when you buy a console and it gets no exclusives. Everybody will be hoping they had upgraded their PCs instead. O well, theyll upgrade them now anyways.

1. As for SW type arguments, it's what they are most worth.

2. Speaking for myself, it's not that I'm wrapped in them for the sake of being wrapped up in them, but many of them are good games and I'm just excited to play them.

QB looks like a fun game. If I had an X1 I'd be excited for it.

Nobody is boycotting the Xbox because Xbox games are going to PC. The people that are bashing Xbox for this are fanboys that have always hated Xbox. They are excited to be able to use the excuse of "Xbox has no real exclusives" to try to justify their silly Xbox hatred that they have had long before this.

Ignoring the fanboys, the reality is, Microsoft creating a shared Xbox/Win10 ecosystem benefits everybody.

I play any game I am interested in regardless of how many platforms it is on.

I really like exclusives though and they always get extra consideration and the nod over a multiplat if the quality is comparable.

It's sad what money has done to warp gaming, and just about anything lol The gaming scene was a much better place before true exclusives started, you could just simply pick the console you liked best and almost all games were cross platform. Look how many studios we've lost because of exclusives, and how many games players get shorted out of because of exclusives , it's just bad for gaming and the industry.

This is no different then putting a marvel movie on exclusively at one movie chain , well what's gonna happen? Yeah that movie chain is gonna go gang busters for a bit, but you just lopped off half or more of the money and audience you could have had. Gaming studios talked about the evils of this year ago and why they wont do it, but now studios are run by investors and ceo's that have a personal stake in the gain that company makes, and notice I said personal. That's a gain a very small percentage of people see, but they don't care, they just made an easy 50 to 100 million personal gain they wouldn't have otherwise.

Well Lems thought they were a big deal at launch but since MS has all but abandoned exclusives on X1 now they aren't that big of deal.

X1: Halo 5, SO, Rare Replay

Wii U: DK:TF, Splatoon, Super Mario 3D World.
