Why PS3 > 360 in 2008... (imo) + (some facts)

Here're the reasons why i feel the PS3 had a better year than the 360.

What do you guys think?

AAA Games (even AAAA!)

Metal Gear Solid 4 - 10.0

Little Big Planet - 9.0

Resistance 2 - 9.0

The PS3 has a total of 3 AAA exclusives this year (one even an AAAA). 360 has only 1.

Multiplatform games (good games that is, not spiderman)

1) Dead space - 9.0 - PS3 lead platform

2) Burnout paradise - 9.0 - PS3 lead platform, getting more love next year with MORE exclusive DLC that 360 doesn't (not referring to the bikes, they're already ou on the 360 too)

3) Devil May Cry 4 - this is kinda subjective. some feel that the PS3 version has better grahpics.

4) Mirror's edge - PS3 lead platform

Re-releases on PS3 + extra content

1)Eternal Sonata - re-released with an extra character and a whole lot more content.

2)Bioshock - DLC challange rooms and "new" survivor mode.

3) Alone in the dark - improvements made to gave

Though both versions of alone in te dark still isn't as good. Hey. Atari made some positive improvements over the PS3 version instead of just doing a port.

Significant Udpates

1) Grand theft Auto 4 received trophy patch. Rockstar could just igore PS3GTA and work on DLC for 360. Kudus to them for the effort

2) Sony going strides doing ingame XMB, playstation videostore (which the fans REALLY wanted) ( i don't know if 360 owners really wanted the dashboard update)

3) BETAs BETAs BETAs, killzone2, resistance2, littlebigplanet, home .. for PS3 users.

4) Fireware updates making PS3 a whole better media machine

5) Piracy still not an issue on the PS3 yet.

6) New Genre- defining games. Little Big Planet highest scoring exclusive on metacritic this year. Valkyria Cronicles an instant sucess (8.5 on GS, same as top 360 RPG, TOV, scoring however 4points more than TOV on metracritic).

7) An even better 2009 confirmed. Killzone 2. WKC, FFadventchildren+13demo, infamous, GT5 (maybe), Heavy Rain promises that if you think 2008 was great. 2009 will be even better.

FEEL FREE TO ADD TO MY LIST.

I do have to admit that besides these ups, the PS3 had many downs too. Haze and Socom being one of them. and the fallout 3/bioshock graphic issu, but they're getting patched as we speak.

360 had quite a few low points. AAA prmised RPGs did not deliver (good but not great i guess). NG2 was up against MGS4. Too Human failed (seriously). NXE caused more RROD.

But hey, I would like it to be that PS3 had a better year cause there were more UPS for it, and not that the 360 had more DOWNS.

lol, 90% of mutliplatform games are better on Xbox 360. Xbox 360 has been outselling PS3(I think everywhere but Japan?), Xbox 360's games sell better.

Ill admit, PS3 has Xbox 360 beat in AAAAEs but that is about it.

By cleverly omitting any positive statement regarding the 360 whatsoever, I think we can safely say this isn't a comparison, more a list of reasons you like the PS3.
