Remember, RARE, not long ago, were creating avatar clothing. This was their job as a dev. It ain't random that we haven't seen shit about their new title that i always forget the title off of. They're incompetent.

You're whining about Rare, yet use a company whose biggest games are 3D platformers made in the height of Mario 64 popularity, and a game about zombies, gee, like that's never done before. And Nathan Drake is just Lara Croft with a dick who is just Indiana Jones with a vag.
If you can get your hands on Disney’s IP, you do it. PotC is essentially over, at least the Depp iterations, so why not diversify and cash-in while there’s some nostalgia nerves to tickle?
Disney is the company who doesn’t know its ass from its feet here. Their stable of IP and resources would lead you to think they could make videogames, but they are terrible at it, hence why they’d just rather license everything they can to anyone.
SOT one of the most kid friendly pirate games made that still maintains a dedicated fanbase, yeah mystifying why they would partner up with Disney's Pirate franchise.
This is getting to special needs levels. Jebus, it was just a good Xbox E3 event, get over it.
Anyways, the only thing I want from SoT is a chill single player/co-op mode but I'll never get it. Just let me travel the sea and explore some islands. Such a moody game it's a shame I can't be enjoy it.
Back then, MS said it wasn't going to get Pirates of the Caribbean (my favorite Disney franchise) due to license issues when Sea of Thieves launched, and now, here we are. I guess MS had to pay a hefty fee for it to happen. Sea of Thieves is still trying to add content, so Pirates of the Caribbean makes sense.
Sea of Thieves already has a campaign with its Tall Tales missions. Tons of lore behind it.
This is just a fun little side campaign. And it's absolutely free, so why are you people hating? Get a Xbox or PC and join in on the fun. It's that simple.

What I'm really curious about is whether Depp voicing Jack Sparrow for a Disney property (?) again means their embargo towards him, due to the Amber Heard case, is actually over. I'd want to see him return in the next PotC movie as long as the writing and his part are well thought out.

Ironically, that was WB who canned him, not Disney just yet. WB didn't want nothing to do with Johnny Depp in the next upcoming Fantastic Beast 3 which really pissed me off cause I was invested on his role with Gellert Grindelwald. Disney is still on good terms with Depp, Disney is looking to reboot Pirates of the Caribbean without Depp and that was way before the whole Amber Heard case. As for voicing, I doubt it as his likeness in Kingdom Hearts 3 wasn't voice by Depp, so expecting no Depp voicing in SoT.

License content sells, and this game does have monetization options. It also adds content to the game to keep community vibrant, and it is a popular film franchise so no doubt may bring in new players.
