Why is xbone getting kingdom hearts 3?

They didn't get kingdom hearts 1.5 remix or the story so far and will have no idea whats going on. To quote my fav movie its like wandering into the middle of a movie and wondering what the ****. This should have stayed ps exclusive for the fans

As if Kingdom Hearts' story isn't a clusterfuck to begin with. Newcomers are better off.

Luckily they can all be played on PC.

Dumb franchise to begin with. Put beloved Disney characters who’s lore has nothing to do with high adventure, and put them into a convoluted jrpg. Why not put the Golden Girls in the next Terminator instalment? It’d make just as much sense.

I’m getting the Xbox One version myself but I have the HD ports of the first two games on the PS3 and I even played the first two games when they first came out on the PS2 so it’s not like I don’t know what’s going on. It certainly would have been nice to have the first two games get an Xbox One version as well though but perhaps there are some kind of legal issues that prevented that from happening or something.

Why does someone need to play every game in the series in order to enjoy a game? It should have a complete, self-contained story that doesn't need an encyclopedic knowledge of what happened before to enjoy.

Exclusive? Since when? Kingdom Hearts was never exclusive and the series has appeared on Nintendo's handheld for years.

Because it appeases S-E shareholders. It is confounding why Xbox never got any of the other content, so my guess is there’s a penalty for publishing on other non-PS platforms (or revocation of performance royalties or something).

If find it less odd they are doing this, but it is eyebrow raising they didn't release the KH collection on XB1 especially considering they want to release KH3 on XB1.

If people care enough they could just play the previous games on their PS4 before playing KH3 in native 4K on their X1X.

I pre-ordered the game, the trailer during E3 sold me on it. It was either this or the Tales of Vesperia DE which I heard great things about, but alas time is limited these days and I rarely have time to play JRPGs. Never played a previous title in the KH series, but I'd like to try it out, and in general I enjoy Square Enix games and recently finished Life is Strange which I thought was great. As someone who usually plays more mature oriented games, I always like to balance out my gaming diet with more relaxing games such as Forza or 3rd party titles such as this.
