I myself mostly a PC gamer
I couldn't play consoles even if I wanted to because of the controls and limited resolution
But then the next gen consoles were announced and their hardware seemed very sufficient
I identify PC as a superior platform in general
But lately some people been posting threads how consoles been showing their potential in E3 2014 and Gabentheists would attack these threads with walls of text spamming pics of Star Citizen and other tech demos
I know Star Citizen will be a big game but for now all the content they got is just the hangar and few ships to fly
We won't find peace if we will be throwing these dumb terms at each other
I can't call somebody a nigger but a hermit,lem and cow is OK?
We are all humans who have just chosen a goddamn product.
You know how pathetic it is if you act condescending just because you chosen a particular one?
And we are still costumers to all the devs, just some might be more loyal.
They are not gods or our parents, they're all people who just trying to profit from us
They might love us only to the point of just selling us a good deal
PS4 has 8GB of DDR5 which is shared but lets say all the memory was borrowed for RAM and OS leaving only 3GB RAM for graphics
that still would be enough to make a really good looking game.
One of the reasons why I am thinking of leaving gamespot is because forums are full of idiots who don't realize what balance between quantity of assets and quality of assets is
That includes Gabentheists
Since most here on forums don't even know such simple methods of accurately estimating the content of games then I will simplify it to an autistic degree
Content=quality of assets and quantity of assets
PC Game devs can spend all the budget on just a photo realistic character and you guys will be creaming yourselves all over on pictures of a game character's 3D nose hairs instead of a game where the devs spend an amount of budget where there would be enough money for an open world with 100's of different characters,props,loot,foliage but just 40% worse textures and polygons?
Quality of assets is their textures and polygons
Quantity of assets is their variety
Next gen consoles have good enough hardware to maintain good graphics and content at the same time.
By the budget standards of game companies today if graphics would exceed capabilities of next gen consoles
there would be not enough money for gameplay and a game would be just a tech demo
So when you compare games like Watch Dogs and Infamous:Second Son try not to be stupid and try to measure the games entire content without platform bias
Instead of considering that a game has the best graphics because of detailed traffic lights
