Why haven't you jump to the current gen of gaming

Seriously I still don't see the point to jump to current gen of gaming. I think that infamous SS is the only current gen game that I actually want to play, the rest is a big meh for me. Still got plenty of games left on the last gen to satisfied me for now and I don't care too much about having the best looking version of game. So SW why are you still on last gen and for those who are on current gen, what made you jump?

But, yes i have yet to see very much to draw me to next gen, and I have plenty of games in my backlog on PS3

I don't wanna be one of those people who buys a console within its first six months and then whines and cries on internet forums about the lack of games.

Sane people don't buy consoles at launch. The reasons are obvious.

I'm happy with the Wii U right now and its stable of high quality games as well as the list of strong titles yet to come. The other two don't look to have anything note worthy until 2015 unfortunately.

I have not gotten the x1/ps4 yet because it costs to much to get them and they have next to no games that interest me(nothing looks next gen besides graphics and a lot of the exclusives especially for the PS4 are not that good or impressive in the gameplay department).

I don't know why I'd buy a PS3.5 or 1/360th of an Xbox.

I jumped because I was excited for the "next gen" 1st party/ japanese games; my friends & I bought into the hype and bought PS4's at launch. I really should've waited to purchase a PS4. Mine literally has been collecting dust since January. Since then, I built a new gaming pc, and I'm extremely happy with it. lol

Off topic: I just hope they announce a 4 player horde/survival mode for the The Last of Us Remastered. I'd double-dip for that. It will at least give me a reason to turn on my PS4....

I'll get that Wii U sometime when I can. Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, lots of games I want.

Most of the games so far have been mutli plats or last gen conversions, the exclusives are not enough for me.

I will get one when either, Beast Souls, Gran Tursimo or Dragon's Dogma comes out... obviously GTA6 as well but that is a long ways off, and a non shit version of Final Fantasy but that's not likely to happen either.

I think I would still get the cross-gen multiplats on "next gen". I'm really trying to not get them on last gen consoles, or at least as much as possible I've been avoiding them. I did get Ghosts and Battlefield 4, but I regret sinking time into those games.

I haven't upgraded because I'm trying to clear as much of my old backlog as possible. I know once I get a PS4 it is very likely will never plug in my Ps3/360 again (or if I do, it will just be for a short burst, and not to actually finish a substantial amount of games). .

I technically am with the 3DS and the Wii U.

With all these game delays and neither the PS4 and Xbone dropping in price below $399, then yeah I can wait until 2015. Funny thing is the Vita is looking more appealing then the other two recent consoles released.

i didn't upgrade my consoles.

i haven't needed to upgrade my pc either. on that aforementioned pc, i'm playing games at better resolution, framerate, and overall visual settings than the next genners. there aren't any exclusive games i'm desperate to play, and the ones i feel like playing ... well, they're hardly worth buying a whole console just to play.

Aren't enough good games on the consoles yet to justify buying them. Also I have a backlog to get through (Infamous 2, God of War 3, Tales of Xillia, Gears of War Judgement)

console wise nothing really excites me on the sony and MS console.

i wouldnt buy a console just for the hardware. sony have made a fabulous console....but nothing on it really entices me to buy one games wise. i get multiplats for my PC so thats not really in the PS4s favour for me.

The X1 im pretty meh about. alot of really unnecessary bloat......and it also lacks compelling content. im not interested in services so MSs focus on delivering services probably means i will give the X1 a miss...or maybe pick one up very late in the gen.

the wiiu is almost at a purchase stage. the console is terrible. its the worst console nintendo have designed since the N64. an interesting idea with nothing to back it up and dreadful execution. but it has many more games i am interested in getting. i will be getting one for X anyway but i may get one sooner.

so on the console front it looks like a wii u sometime this year...a PS4 maybe next year and an X1 sometime in 2018 maybe.

handheld wise im up to speed. 3DS and vita purchased and quite a few games for both. love the vita hardware wise and it has quite a few good games on it. future looks meh though sadly. not so fond of the 3DS hardware but love the games. future looks better.

on the PC front i bought a laptop (called buttons) that can hold its own. a desktop is not viable at the moment for me.

I have a PC and I can play most multiplats on with 60 fps on high.

No need to yet, I will buy a PS4 mostly in september, then I'm all out of other costs.

Rabid fanboys are #1 factor that holds this gen back.

Waiting for games that interest me to come out. Plus a lot of games I missed out on last gen that are cheap right now.

Cause PC master race

I'm thinking of going PC + Nintendo handheld from now on. Wii U is tempting sure, but the 3DS has almost the same Mario games, better Zeldas (top-view forever) and more likely a 2D Metroid (I think Prime is a snorefest), so my Nintendo fix is secured with a handheld.

I'm also looking to reduce the clutter with this setup.

The Wii U has a brick power supply, a huge controller, a power suppy just for the huge controller, a sensor bar, remotes, nunchucks. Too much stuff, all my Nintendo handhelds together use up less space than this (which is why I kind of get the small console/handheld preference in Japan).

As for XBone or PS4...I don't care about their exclusives, and the multiplats I can get on PC. Also, since they offer no BC, more consoles if I want to play old games, more clutter.

I just need to decide if I want to go DRM free or risk by going with Steam (for the games that offer both).

I'm primarily a PC Gamer. Don't really see the point in buying a PS4 now when I could just upgrade my gpu for less. Even so, I can't afford a new gpu now. It's quite ironic that I could invest the 1k upfront to get in to PC gaming but I haven't been able to upgrade my gpu for almost a year now. Hopefully I will this summer, and then I can say that I am more or less on par with the current gen console hardware (considering optimization and stuff). I'm tired of getting 90º and not being able to completely max out games anymore with my 560 ti.

Upgraded my PC last year. I didn't buy this-gen console yet because of lack of good games that suit my taste.

Damn right. So we can enjoy the glorified sequels to connect 4 made by Microsoft and Nintendo, while also being able to enjoy the first class art created by Sony. The best of both worlds.

Well by golly I do. I have played more Xbone than some hardcore lems on here. Deliciously funny I tell you.

I got a WiiU a month after it launched.

I can't name a single game that's out right now for Xbone or PS4 that I really want to play, the closest is probably Dead Rising 3?

Because 360 and PS3 have better games atm.

Usually it's best to wait at least a year before grabbing a console... Early adopters can testify that the first year is usually preety bad for any console, lol

I have too many unplayed games to be bothered with next gen at this point. I am getting the PS4 on Black Friday, but only if I have already bought my new TV. If not, the TV comes first.

I still have like 200 SNES games to finish so it'll take a while before i get caught up to play games in this gen. I never even finished FF6. Still playing Simcity on snes also, i can't seem to finish it, its like the game just goes on forever.

But even more recently i got games from a few years ago i havent even touched yet, so won't waste time on below average next gen games.

Or the lack of games and innovation...
