Why get a PS4 Pro when the Xbox One X has better technology inside it?

I just don't get it, you get better lighting better shadows, better draw distance, higher resolutions.

I mean can someone explain it to me 100 bux more is like nothing to me so who cares if its 100 bux more for a better product?

I would rather go with the iphone X over the stupid iphone 8 for 100 bux more. I mean just look at how much better it is. I'm the same with a console who cares about the exclusives for me its about Power, looks, and being the top of the line parts.

Oh and PC gamers read my sig I know PC's are even stronger but I like to have the strongest console on the side of my PC for certain games. PC gamers we know your crap already. I am a PC gamer and built a huge rig.

Other than the 2-3 solid Sony exclusives a year, there really isnt a reason if you got a OG ps4

I got a Pro for PS exclusives, and have no need of an X due to Play Anywhere.

Eh... I'm pretty happy with my launch PS4. I'm skipping the mid-gen upgrades all together and waiting for the inevitable PS5. I probably won't be buying one of those at launch either unless it has backwards compatibility.

Why bother with a X1X when you get a nice PC for even more?

I suppose it's a good alternative to building an HTPC if your rig isn't in your TV room.

I spent a bit more to build a a small form-factor PC and put a 1060 in it for my living room. It's actually smaller than a PS4.

I avoid consoles unless it's absolutely the only way to play a certain game. I don't like not being able to make it run at 60fps. Consoles are just computers and you can't adjust settings to make them run at 60fps. Go figure.

@ProtossRushX: Maybe because there are games the X1X won't be able to play the the PS4 Pro does? Maybe the person prefers the PS experience, network, controller etc. Not everything other human beings do in life will make sense to you. Let it go.

Because besides the obvious reason of console exclusives, you have entirely different ecosystems and online infrastructure, controllers, etc and that plays a big role too along with the friends aspect. You have things like Shareplay on PSN and on Xbox you have things like dedicated servers on all first part titles, etc. Many other factors to consider outside of the hardware.

Also, it's just a console, you are not buying a house or a car....I mean it's not the end of the world if you decide later another console is a better fit for you, you can probably switch, keep or sell the old one, whatever. Most people don't sit around in forums like this dissecting every aspect of consoles.

I suppose for the same reason I don't have a PS4... some prefer Sony's exclusives.

But having said that, a lot of people bought the PS4 because it was the most powerful, so those same people should be interested in the X one would assume, since it will have the superior multiplats.

X1X is the poor mans pc with fake 4k resolution, on medium to low settings, frame dips LOL. PS4, maybe not that powerful, but still has more exclusive console games than microsoft can ever publish in this generation.

Because I want to make you cry on SW and also because I don’t buy consoles for power. My PC destroys both the weaksauce XboneX and Pro in that department. PS4 has games and Xbone is a barren wasteland of mostly flops and multiplats.

On one x release I bet pro will again go down in price to 350 for sure.

Sony exclusives, liking Sony as a company more, growing up with Sony products. Plenty of reasons. But this is system wars so all the real reasons should be thrown aside so we can all bicker like children about which plastic box is better.

For couple of times price went down to 350 for pro + game and controller.

On one x release it will most likely go down in price again to 350.

350 for ps4 pro with game vs 500 for one x.

It becomes game and 150€ difference making it very competitive

When it comes down to price most people will purchase a regular PS4 or Xbox one. People looking for the most powerful console and Xbox fans will choose the Xbox one X. Cows will purchase a PC.

Because some people want more games than just multiplats and rehashed exclusives. Pro has the games.

In fact they may even hurt next gen console sales cause when the PS5 or X2X (or w/e it'll be called) release, some gamers may hold on buying them because they'll think sooner or later a better, more powerfull console version, may release... so yeah, I think both Sony and MS shot themselves in the foot with this one...

As someone has already clearly stated the phenomenon that is PS4 is because it was the first time the most powerful console was also the cheapest console. Basically MS fucked up or "tinfoil hats" Sony screwed MS at E3 changing their gameplan and price point after MS's bungled announcement of Xbox One.

Power doesn't always win but power is nice. All you have to do is look at PC to see that people want power. I mean they spend thousands to have a "beast" PC and to play what exactly pretty much the same games that are on consoles with better resolution, frame rate etc. So yeas people waste their money on power. Now we won't know whether or not the power push on consoles helps push sales for X1X immediately. But if it does it's really only Sony's fault because they created this resolution matters look at the difference nonsense that we are seeing now. Sony literally took fanboy arguements and put them in their advertisements as to why PS4 is better hence where we are right now with people swearing they can see the difference between a 900p game and a 1080p game and it matters ?

You can easily see the difference....... If you can't then eyes need to be checked.

That's an easy one to answer. The price. It would be double the cost to make an equivalent PC due to the video card alone being nearly the price of the X1X.

Honestly though, Sony exclusives are nice and all, but there jsut aren't enough for me to justify getting a lower quality version of every other game that is multiplatform just for those exclusives. Better off getting an X1X for quality on all the common day to day games, and an OG ps4 for the exclusives from sony.

Another thread begging people to buy this console. GT Sport has better lighting than Forza. Maybe it's not the console but the games on the console? Hmm.... I'm happy with my base PS4 until ps5 comes. No point in me wasting money on a "4k" machine when I don't own a 4k tv. Skip the X and wait until the next xbox that can do 4k60fps on every game without a sweat(if devs even go that route).
