It is so un-userfriendly. I played the beta and it takes forever to do anything and takes even longer to figure out how. Also, the maps were so linear. Like in a city there is only one way to get to a certain area so you have to take a certain road that leads through five other areas just to find the entrance when you are right next to it.
The game is like what 7-8 years old., no one would play a game that old also everyone is pretty much doing high level stuff at this point. IMO It was an awesome mmo when it first came out because it had a story instead of just a bunch of quests that had no real meaning.
Yeah right this game eats more of your life away than WoW does, it takes about a year to max out one class, another year to get the best equipment, 3 days to find a good group and a week to earn enough gil for one item.
Now the JRPG Lemming fans wonder why they're not getting FFXIII and FFXIII versus. Enjoy your Flop Dragon and soon to be another flop, Lost Odyssey. majadamus
you do realize if i solely wanted to play Nerd-RP.. ahh i mean J-RPGS i would have bought a PS3.

It may not be your watered dumbed down WoW MMORPG, but it's far better than a terrible game.
WoW is the best MMORPG out to date. dont try and say that this game is better than it just because it says "Final Fantasy" on the packaging. Theres basically no one playing it, its impossible to communicate (one of the main points of an MMO) and its just not fun in general.Â

Eh..? I was speaking for the JRPG lemmings fans who are stuck with their 360, and can't buy a PS3. Also..not playing Nerd-RPGs or JRPGS what millions of other gamers like to call, and posting on a video game forum does not make you less of a nerd fyi.

FF11 is one of the most original MMO, has a FF quality story and quests. you either love it, or hate it. yaa, its slow paced, IF you dont make friends and join good guilds. thats the whole theme of the game, unlike others, you need people to accomplish big goals in the game.
The fact that its around 6+ years old, and still has a strong and constant 500,000+ player base shows how good the game is. and it just received an expansion.
I'm playing FFXI as we speak (on PC) but even then I don't recommend it for 360 owners. FFXI is for hardcore players only, its not for the light hearted.
FFXI is a disgrace to the FF franchise. But thats normal, every mmorpg is a disgrace to it's franchise. Look at WOW. Such a great Warcraft franchise turned into mmorpg... yay!

Because the game is terrible. I've played my share of MMOs, enjoy the genre more than any other (sadly), and I do like RPGs and the FF titles. Yet I find the game unbearable, boring, and don't see how it's going to change now that it's on the 360 (I got it for the PS2 -- useless HDD that cost $100 ftw..).
That was a lame attempt for Square to support 360 imo. I'm looking foward to The Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery. Hopefully those games turn out to be worthwhile.
