Why doesn't anybody mention Ninja Gaiden Black is 4K on the X1X?

Instead time is taken talking about sub par games with questionable gameplay like Red Dead Redemption. Ninja Gaiden Black is a game with some of the tightest gameplay ever released and the combat is second to none. Only thing that holds this game back are the bad camera angles at times.

Otherwise yeah, Halo 5 at 60fps + Ninja Gaiden Black might just sway me towards an X1X. Don't suppose Halo 3 in the MCC runs at 60fps?

Yes Halo 3 MCC is 60fps. They're going to be dropping X Enhancement eventually for that as well.

I've played it a bit too much back in the day, excellent game though.

I don't think so, I think its only with other MCC owners.

@nomadic8280: Well that sucks. That’s a much smaller player base.

No, it's all separately networked.

Also, here's Halo 3 BC on the X so you have an idea of what to expect for TMCC update coming soon. (scaled to 2560x1440 for upload size)

@seaofsalt OK I'm really confused now.

There are two versions of each game on Xbox One correct? The MCC version and the BC version. The BC version of Halo 3 is 4K/30fps but has a larger install base because of Xbox 360 players. The MCC version of Halo 3 is 1080p/60fps but has a smaller player base because it's only MCC players vs MCC players. They'll release a resolution update on the X1X for MCC. Got everything right?

This is accurate for the most part except Halo 3 BC is not native 4K, it's 1920p, close but not quite. The emulation scales whatever the games base resolution was by a factor of 9 indiscriminately, it's a 3x3 grid increase and Halo 3 was 1152×640, not 1280x720. So TMCC Halo 3 will actually be native 4K, also for now it might be a lower player base but when they roll out the update it won't be. They're not just enhancing it for the X, they're fixing all the problems from the ground up.

Fixing what problems? The MCC came out in 2015. I was told all issues were fixed back in 2016. 1920p is suitable for me but 30fps is less than tempting. 60fps/1080p is acceptable but the much smaller player base is kind of a turn off. Damn, difficult choice.

There were still some lingering issues so they're overhauling the entire network functionality, they "fixed" it back in 2015 which translates to they got it into a relatively stable state and left it as is as they didn't want to break anything else by messing with it. They also have the intention of adding in a server browser for custom games and doing a bunch of other stuff, you'd have to look up the articles about it. The update comes out this spring so it should be pretty soon.

It's too hardcore of a game for most of the young lems on this forum.

They'd rather hype trash like Sea of Piss and mediocre Crackhead 3.

a hardcore game released on the Xbox over a decade ago, and no one's talking about it? Shocking!

I'm sure it's good...but come on

also, it came out on BC last year

What's to talk about? It's a 14 year old game at this point, and 4k doesn't really add much since it's otherwise a one for one port. Most of the menus and textures are looking kinda janky since they weren't upscaled.

I would get an Xbox One X to play some games like Ninja Gaiden, but not at $500.

It's been talked about plenty. Perhaps it's one of those many of times when you're putting your hands over your ears/eyes because it was good news for X1X? And lol RDR questionable game-play. No RDR and RDR2 sure makes you a true Pee Super Salty Sea.... Cred = 0 now. :P

I never played it back on original Xbox, but I played Ninja Gaiden II on Xbox 360 and loved it, I tried the Sigma on PS3 and it (though can't remember why) felt like a step backwards and never had any intention of finishing it, so yeah, I have no nostalgic inclination to play it or praise it, that's why for me. Probably might be a different story had I played them in order. I realize this through experience. That's why for some series I refuse to jump in until I get caught up.

@lamprey263: That’s because Sigma is trash.
