Why does 1080p not matter.

This 1080p thing is getting completely blown out of the water.

Firstly, I don’t really care about 720p/1080p.

I have this thing with big screens. We don’t get along when I play games on ‘em.

That’s why I bought myself a 21inch PC monitor for my PC. and a 27 inch PC monitor for my PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One.

I prefer Framerate over Resolution.

Most of you people who don’t have PC’s don’t even know the difference between 30fps and 80fps which is a big difference FYI.

I use to play with a LED non-HD screen. And I played Battlefield BC2 back then and it looked magnificent even though I didn’t have a HD monitor at the time.

If you have a 1080p big screen and I have a 720p 20s inch screen. There will be almost no difference and I’m actually even leaning towards the smaller screen.

But sadly, I the monitors I bought recently are 1440p 144hz BenQ’s.

So all I have to say if we are going to talk like kids about 720p/1080p etc...

1440P ? 4K ?

Sony... Microsoft, is falling behind.

I love how I didn’t hate 1080p but I was getting fed up with all this clueless kid talk about “ 1080p is important” while the difference between 1080p and 720p could only barely be seen on 32inch and up screens. And almost no difference if the 720p is upscaled to 1080p.

It's the natural evolution. Why do you think most PS3 and 360 games were 720p, instead of PS2´s 480p?

1440p is the way to go :D

But for consoles, I would rather have 1080 where possible, I play at my desk so the differences between 720 and 1080 are night and day... And then jumping to 1440... man that's something even better :D

@acp_45: it doesn't matter to me because I've been gaming over 30 years. Just because there are HDTV now, doesn't make me not like games in sub HD. I love gaming, period. Its the playing that I enjoy. I can play Wii games and love doing it, and they're not in HD. The complaints remind me of a buddy who wouldn't go to a minor league baseball game with the gang because it wasn't the majors. He said he had standards. I thought it was funny because all those AA ball players were better than he ever could be. I try not to put standards on things I have fun with. Seems to me I'm closing the door on possibly enjoying something just because of the resolution? Yeah, no thanks. I'll stay open to fun.
