Why are people saying Watch Dogs Legion looks good?

This is a typical soulless generic Ubisoft game if I've ever seen one. They finally realized they sucked at creating good compelling characters so they didn't bother this time and instead have you play as NPC's who eventually die a permadeath for the whole game. This sounds so bad after Rockstar just gave us the greatest cast of characters in gaming history last year with RDR2.

The world looks as lifeless and uninteresting as any other Ubi open world game. I saw nothing in the gameplay that made me go "I wonder what's in that building or around that corner." The guns look and sound as weak as water guns. The AI looks braindead standing still waiting for you to run up and attack despite having a gun in their hand.

Either people are still falling for Ubi's marketing scams or this is just indicative of how much E3 sucks this year that people are pretending this game looks good just to convince themselves the show still has a purpose to exist.

another ubisoft bad attempt at making boring open world game. ubisoft are stupid enough to ignore splinter cell in a favor of this crap. i mean seriously.

this is 4th year in row ubisoft ignore splinter cell. yet another watch dogs, another assassins creed, another far cry release every year. next year far cry 6 will announce and release and so will be next assassins creed and year after that watch dogs 4 will release and cycle continue.

same game with different setting and skin.

I barrely judge a game by a trailer or first gameplay. I still enjoyed AC Origins and Oddysey... Probally because I am a bad fanboy lol. :P

It looks like an Ubisoft game if you like that then you'll like this.

crazy ambitious idea letting you play as any NPC and still have full dialogue. the WD series has had some solid gameplay, and it seems like the tone will be less obnoxious than WD2.

the gameplay in the first Watch Dogs actually reminded me quite a bit of Blacklist, if you turned up the difficulty and played it stealthy. lots of gadgets and ways to distract enemies, AI not too bad. underrated game as far as stealth mechanics.

permadeath could add some extra tension to stealth as well.

The first game imo had potential, I just wish they would have worked on Aiden Pearce more, and now this game is all over the freaking place, the game looks like another Fortnite with a bunch of wacky characters, with progressive and SJW ideologies pushed to max setting, I was turned off immensely by this so I will be skipping this game entirely now, but I'm willing to give Watch Dogs 2 a try.

I thought it looked cool... definitely intrigues me more than another AC or Far Cry.

The watchdogs demo got a good reaction

Every Ubi game demo gets a good reaction. Watch Dogs 1/2, The Division, Ghost Recon, AssCreed. And then they release and end up being downgraded soulless checklist trash every time. People never learn.

You can keep ghost recon I played the demo, and uninstalled, I played through the division 1 but passed on the 2nd after the free trial as it felt the same

The only 2 AC games I finished are the original and origins, watchdogs had downgrade gate and the 2nd I didn’t even get past the 3 hour trial

Watchdogs 3 has me interested and ubisofts last few games on midgen console look good

Sounds like you'd be happy with just more shallow, by-the-number cinematic games that come off an assembly line. As long as they look gud, huh? It's because of people like you that we continue to get these kind of aaa nightmares again and again.

Good decision to use London, as they can just port the historic buildings from AC Syndicate, and thus save lots of time on the world design.

Its because of cyberpunk 2077. What does cyberpunk has? Futuristic shits. So, In theory, people are subconsciously liking Watch Dogs Legion because of its use of high tech and other futuristic shits. It all has to do with mind games. Everyone uses this technique and its one of the oldest tricks the world.

Also, the cyberpunk newest trailer has over 9 million views. So, its subconsciously planting viewers mind with high tech, hacking, dystopian futures and all those other stuff that comes with it.
