I get discount on Sony games so selling doesn't make sense for me.
thats fair. If I also got dirt cheap ps5 games, I wouldn't be selling it either.
I own too many games in the Playstation ecosystem to just leave it. Future games will be bought on pc or I will wait to play them on PS+ Extra once it gets enough games I don't own to justify a subscription.
The PS5 is still a good console. PC getting games from it doesn't mean it is a bad system for the majority of gamers.
Don’t have one so can’t sell it. 😛
Anyway though I still want to get one. I prefer console gaming myself so all this stuff about Sony games going to PC doesn’t really affect me at all. I was perfectly fine seeing Microsoft put their games on PC as well.

honestly, I don't like the design of the ps5...its so big and ugly, doesn't even fit properly in my cubpoard. I can definitely see myself waiting for a slim version
I was proactive and didn't get one yet. Maybe in a couple years when I can get a PS+ Extra/Premium and there will be more Sony first party titles I can play through it.
@Archangel3371: Lems aren't self aware at all. Talking trash about PS5s look when Series X looks like a trash can and S looks like a Bluetooth speaker.
I don't game on pc so for me it doesn't make sense to sell the system. God of war regnarok, Callisto protocol still to come this year.
I will sell mine if you stop calling Elden Ring as Belden Ring. Your choice.
hmm, you can keep your ps5. Im going to keep on calling it belden ring for a little while longer.

How much longer are we talking about? I want to get rid of my ps5.
Scalpers have stopped buying ps5's since Sony bitchslapped cows last night 🤣
i have no problem with scalpers unless they're using bots. The free market is the most beautiful thing in the world when it works, and lots of people who have trouble making ends meet are able to go out and buy these systems, and sell to people who have a lot of money. Cows tend to have a lot of money, they always get milked for $70 games, nothing wrong with getting milked by scalpers too.

ooofff. The most loyal cow backstabbing sony, its like ceasar getting stabbed in the back by brutus. Or maybe general sheppard backstabbing the crew.
me, just sold mine .never used it collected dust . dumb door stop
ouch...its such a waste of money right now. I plan on getting one eventually, when the price drops (if the price drops), or when uncharted / persona launches. Whichever comes first. I dont buy games to play the system...I buy systems to play the games.
@Sagemode87: While not as nice as the Xbox One S/X I prefer the look of the XSX myself. 🤷♂️
I'm with you, The PS5 design is a freaking tragedy.

Yeah, I mean it only has one game now in Ratchet (cow rules).

"S looks like a Bluetooth speaker" but bluetooth speakers look better than most consoles. How is that offensive?

Agreed, as it looks now, if it was half the size it would look good, but as it is...
I think you need to ask yourself why console gamers play on console in the first place? It's never been for the content, except for maybe Nintendo stuff. Neither Sony nor Microsoft has ever really had a stunning library of exclusives past the OG Xbox / PS2 generation. Their reasons for buying consoles seems to be unrelated to the content, and more about the convenience.
The only way I would sell if someone offered me ridiculous over retail price. Even then I doubt I would sell it with Ragnarok on the way.
I may be pro PC gamer and all but even if I do own a PS5, (and I will if I can find one) I wouldn't sell it and hell, I don't sell any of my consoles at all. I like to keep my consoles for many years to come. Just because we see few PS4/PS5 exclusives coming to PC doesn't mean I'll sell my PS5. I own an Xbox Series S but that's just for playing older games on it.

Does that count for Sony games on other platforms?
I'll pass. I'll take all of the above. I guess when all games are on PC day one there won't be as much of a point.
If you have a decent pc and don't mind waiting a year for their movie games then you won't need a ps5.
Cows may not like it but first party WILL hit pc day one in the near future.
Chin up though, think of the profits for Sony🤣
PC's aren't worth the hassle.
Bought a new one this year for more than a PS5/XBox and it still needs to be upgraded to play games at recommended specs. I do not want to spend the time and the money upgrading it.
PS5 and Xbox are ready to go without all this hassle.
PCs are people with more money than sense (or cents!) and not worth it unless you are doing it professionally.
@simple-facts: the cows sure love those sony sales and profit threads. They should be happy for sony making all this bank$$$ on the pc
The question is how much would it cost to build a pc compared to the ps5 specs. Doubt it will be competitively priced the graphics card alone would cost more.
@robert_sparkes: If you buy a lot of games, you could recoup the costs through cheaper games. I have bought new titles from "greyware" sites like cdkeys too and can't complain. There are a lot of free give aways of decent games too. Between GOG, Epic and Steam, it can sometimes pay for itself. And although some PC elitists hate the very idea for some reason, prebuilt PC's are generally cheaper than building with the same hardware.
Regardless of how some feel about where and how they purchase hardware and games, all that ultimately matters is your bottom line. Research it out, do the math for hardware and some games you want and see what the price difference is.

I am sorry to hear that. That sounds frustrating. My experience has been that if you get the proper PC the first time you don't have to upgrade for years. I have been able to play every game on my PC at the recommended specs with no issues and have even played some just fine at below the minimum specs though not perfect, a little laggy but we are talking below minimum specs. It also depends on what resolution you are fine playing at and at what FPS as well. I have a PC with a GPU from 2016 and it runs all games on the market just fine at 1080P and most at 60 FPS and at mostly MAX settings and I can run many games at 1440P high to max settings and quite a few games at 4K 30 or 4K 60 FPS as well such as BioShock Remastered, Dead island, Burnout Paradise, Just Cause 2, Life is Strange: Before the Storm, Heavy Rain and many more. If you get a PC with Specs similar to the Consoles they will run all the same games at a similar level to the consoles in my experience and you always have the option to lower the settings or resolution to get every game to work fine if you have specs inline with the consoles or even a little lower, the consoles just auto adjust either before they are released by developers to run at settings and resolution that the console can handle or do it dynamically via resolution scaling. Anyway my experience is PC's are well worth it and are not that expensive once the prices go back to normal. I don't have to have everything way above console to enjoy my PC and I did not spend that much on mine considering I have had the same GPU for 6 years now and am gaming just fine and love gaming on my PC. So I don't agree with what you said but I am happy to just agree to disagree with you as everyone has their opinion but some of the things you said I have factually not experienced gaming on PC. I personally have not had any hassle gaming on my PC. It's all good though. Thanks.
I don't see a point to selling it - it's substantially nicer than my ps4, especially the controller, which is really fantastic tech. I may buy very few games for it in the end, but it's also a media point in the house yadda yadda. Maybe if that sweet sweet clist dough was badly needed, but things are fine in the frog den so the ps5 stays
What recent events?
the important recent events of spiderman going multiplatform, then god of war, returnal, etc etc.

if you like, you can donate your steam deck to me. I will take good care of it, thanks.

Does your dad work at Sony?
