Who's picking up Mass Effect Legendary Edition this weekend?

Legendary Edition releases May 14th for PC/PS4/Xbox One and even though it's full-priced $60, the trilogy itself is still a fun game from Xbox 360/PS3 era. (Wii U? That's a different story) Keep in mind ME3's MP isn't coming back and the same for Pannicle Station DLC.

I'll be getting Legendary Edition PC this Friday since ME1 looks like an actual remake than a remastered and I was a huge fan of the series back in Xbox 360 era.

Yup. It's been a long time since i've played through the games, and the fact they've upgraded the shoddy ME1 controls to be more in line with 2 and 3 is a big thing for me.

Pre-ordered it and it'll be my first ever playthrough.

No. Not supporting HD ports. A full remake with UE5 would be sweet (especially if the ME3 multiplayer was also remade), but its not happening, they chose the cheap shit way, and i am not supporting that.

I wish I could go back to that again. They're gonna be a bit more dated now, but ME1 and ME2 were great, and ME3 was great up until the tumultuous ending (fixed a little with an extended ending).

Very happy to finally be getting these back in my collection. I have the PS4 version preordered but will be playing on my PS5. Due to that and not liking the cover art, I decided to Photoshop up a new cover art focusing on my favorite characters with the PS5 banner.

It's up there as one of my favourite series of all time, so I want to play through them again... but I'll wait for a sale.

I mightcheck it out on a deep sale sometime, but there wasn't anywhere near enough effort put into this rerelease to make it jump to the top of my backcatalog. Also, Subnautica Below Zero is out this weekend and no way am I passing on that for ME:LE.

I am in no rush to replay the games as that is a big time commitment. I will play it at some point when it hits EA Play/Game Pass.

I’ve played them all, including Andromeda, on PC. I’ll wait for the next one. I’ll admit that getting all the dlc is tempting since I haven’t played all of them but I know enough about them that I could go without.

Gotta finish a whole mess of other stuff first, but I'll definitely grab it at some point

Unlocks for me tomorrow night at 6 pm HST, so I get to play it when I get home from work. Still got a backlog to plow through, though.

Pre-ordered a physical copy of the Xbox version and was notified that it had shipped today. It may arrive this Friday but most likely will be Monday or Tuesday of next week. Loved the original games and still have them for the 360. Am very hyped to play them all over again with spruced up visuals and what not.

Never played the games, but after Cyberbunk landed flat on its face for me, I need a good sci-fi story that isn't just ripping off Bill Gibson novels.

The big thing for me is price at the moment. You can get the original trilogy for like $20. Paying full price for slightly improved graphics on the same engine is pretty iffy for me.

Never liked the series.

I'm one of the lucky ones that have never played any Mass Effect. I hardly even know what it's about. So, yeah, I'll be picking it up on Steam, for sure.

I want to see the optimization first. Again, the history of 64-bit ports of Unreal Engine 3 is patchy, to put it charitably.

But if that checks out, insta-buy.

It'll be $30 by year's end.

I am in no hurry, still gotta get through Nier and Resident Evil and hopefully by then maybe MS will announce a surprise addition to Game Pass ahead of EA Vault schedule.

Got it pre-ordered from CDKeys. They look great, and I'm excited to see how much they improved the first game.

Never played any of the Mass Effect games so I'm gonna pick it up at some point, on sale down the road at least.

I got a preorder out, huge fan of the changes they've showcased so far.

Nahh already played them once ( or well a couple of times) and my playtime is way to limited to spend it on old games, no matter how good they were!

Guess Bioware can't make anything new that's good, so now they have to go back and milk the old cow so that daddy EA doesn't shut them down--nice. I'll pass. Bioware has been giving the middle-fingers to its fans for years now--bout time I gave it back.

loved the first game warts and all. probably the best story in an rpg i've experienced. but didn't like the 2nd and because of that didn't try the third.

really worried that mass effect 1 will be one of those games you experience at the time of release and love, but then you don't play for years and it doesn't age well, and when you return it taints all the great memories you have. kind of want to keep it on that pedestal but it's probably worth the risk. will pick this up but not at full price

Dunno but I've played through the ME's more times than I should have but mostly looking forward to all the DLC included. Never bought those so quite the bonus for those like myself. ;)

Preordered it for Xbox and will play it tonight when it releases at 9 pm (PST). Going to bring back some awesome memories... well, until the ending of ME3.

I am curious what they are going to do to replace the benefits of Pinnacle Station now that it is gone. At the end you have ability to shop the absolute best gear the game has to offer. Took a peek at my Xbox 360 game and all my character have best armor with best mods that pretty much has their health regenerating and the guns all have frictionless material X grade and sledgehammer round X grades, and I have all the best guns and tools too... anyhow, got all that from Pinnacle Station DLC, after over 100 hours of campaign and NG+.

Already played them, why would I? I just don't understand the purpose of all these remade games. I am a one and done guy, I never beat a game twice as my memory is good enough to remember what I did in the game. CASH GRAB!!!!

If you guys haven't seen yet, EA/Bioware have released a box art editor that's pretty nice. It allows you to put your favorite characters in whatever order you want, change the background image at the bottom and get rid of the red or blue as you wish. You can then download a print quality copy of it or download it as a wallpaper.

Kudos to them.

I created one I liked enough and altered it to reflect being played on PS5. I'll have it professionally printed this weekend.

Normally I avoid remasters like the plague for a variety of reasons, namely the fact that a.) they're lame cashgrabs and b.) I game on PC, where almost everything is BC and there are mods.

But this is one of my favorite game series of all time, I missed out on the DLC, and frankly I want to see the changes they've made because they look pretty significant.

Those 4 people have it figured out, ahead of the curve.

Yeah got mine bought a pre-downloaded on Steam. I'm wondering now if it may have been a better choice to get on my new Series X which I managed to bag from the UK Microsoft Store a couple of days ago.

I'm sure my RTX 2080 PC is more than capable though.

Never played these games and probably never will. I'd like to, I'm always down for some epic sci fi, but three RPGs is a time commitment I just can't make. Maybe someday when the kids are older and we can all play it as a family.
