Poll Who’s got the most hype going into E3 this year? (84 votes)

Sony 48%
Nintendo 26%
Microsoft 17%
PC 5%
3rd Party 5%

I think it’s going to be really close between Sony and Nintendo. Nintendo has been really quiet this year. They should have some good announcements ready for E3. Sony is on a tear, and I think along with Spider-Man, they will talk about Last of Us 2. That game will be huge. As for MS, I don’t know what to expect. Everything else is a toss up in my opinion. What do you think, SW?

Cyberpunk 2077 more than anything else, probably on Microsoft's stage. Damn Sony's got a lot I want to see too... The Last of Us 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man, Death Stranding, not even getting into new stuff they announce. Maybe Red Dead Redemption 2.

Nintendo I wanna see Metroid Prime 4, Pokemon, Bayonetta 3.

Sony by a long shot. They held back last E3 to some extent because they were sitting on a megaton bomb for this E3. Plus, I'm a huge PSVR fan, and I'm pretty sure Sony's got something huge cooking in that department, too.

**Fingers crossed for No Man's Sky VR**

Microsoft is a mystery to me. I would love to see what projects they have in the pipeline. Hopefully there will be some more information on Ori 2.

Sony have a stellar year planned ahead of them. It will be great to finally see The Last of Us Part II and to see what they have in the works for 2019. I'd like to see more in-depth footage of Dreams and maybe even a lengthy bit of the Medieval remake.

Nintendo have a bunch of games in reserve with tentative '2018' dates. Some updates on at least one of the following would be nice; Metroid Prime 4, Bayonetta 3, Pokémon, Smash Bros. or Fire Emblem. Bunch of games we know nothing about...

With Sony hitting 80 million and Microsoft might finally be creeping up to the 30 million mark we are going to most likely see major studios announcing pure PS4 exclusive titles - titles that Sony isn't paying for but where the sales gap is so huge it no longer makes sense to bother with the Xbox One.

I have no idea what Nintendo is doing. The 2018 Switch release schedule is a joke. Nintendo still seems to be the only one making Switch targeted games and third parties for the most part just dumping downgraded ports to the system. Maybe the Switch installed base is large enough for some third parties to start announcing something other than poor quality ports.

Microsoft is obviously in a death spiral and they've made no concrete moves to change that. Hard to imagine Microsoft having anything but another dud of a conference.

I’m most interested in seeing what Microsoft shows at this year’s E3. There’s been rumours surrounding a number of games and studios plus with the Xbox One X having been released I have a feeling that they’ll have a lot more focus on software.

Second for me is Nintendo. They’ve been doing a fantastic job with releasing a lot of great games on the Switch but there is still quite a few games I want to see more on like Metroid Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3. I also really want to see the Virtual Console come out on the Switch and more details on their online service.

For Sony I think the only things that I’m looking forward to seeing from them right now is more on Death Stranding and Spider-Man.

It was said last year that they wanted to focus on the hardware first then on the games so your feeling is correct. They are after all occupying a larger space than last year. Lets hope that is not a big show of nothing.

No hype, personally. Ive got a huge backlog plus a bunch of amazing games not bought yet to get around to. E3's barely on my radar.

That being said, I'll be watching with the rest of you, and hope some cool surprises come and catch my attention

Sony all over the place. TLOU, SPIDERMAN and more....

But i wouldnt count nintendo out. If they show glimpses of a new Smash and Metroid 4 might be impactful enough so we have a rivarly this year. A logo of a new Zelda will make people go crazy as well let alone a new Kart. We will see.

I honestly don't know but Sony has the largest install base by far so I'll say them. This will be the first E3 in about 15 years that I wont watch live, rather save my 5 holiday days for an actual holiday now.

Ooooh, I wanna say Nintendo. Metroid Prime 4, Pokémon whatever & whatever, Smash Bros., Luigi's Mansion and hopefully Animal Crossing... my hopes are set so high Nintendo could crush E3 outta the park and I'll still be let down.

I'm excited to just see gameplay of the games Sony has announced so far. If they just do that they win before even talking about games we don't know.

My predictions:

Sony will show, gameplay of already announced games.

MS will show, trailers of games that may never come out.

Nintendo will show, Pokemon and Metroid.

That's all I am really psyched to see from Sony. I know TLOU2 is coming, I know Spider-Man is coming. GoT and Death Stranding GAMEPLAY, not "ooh so weird and edgy; there's a baby in his cabeza!!!" bullshit CGI movie trailers please.

Other than that I look forward to what everyone may show for first time. I would love to see something from Splinter Cell.

Yeah, good point. Sony has E3 down to a science it seems and will have another great E3.

Microsoft, on the other hand, needs a lot more momentum. They've been making a lot of good moves and pro-gamer/consumer decisions as of late. They need to focus and stay on message in regards to games.

If they can bring at least 2 exclusives (exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem) and a few partnerships as well as developments, they could have a really good E3.

Sony has the most games announced that I'm interested in seeing. Microsoft might announce a new Halo, but other than that my expectations are very low. Nintendo has been quiet and I really want a new game to purchase for the Switch. It feels like they have the most to gain from E3 because surely they have been working on something.

Sony has a number of already announced exclusives that are really exciting like The Last of Us 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man, Death Stranding and they might even surprise us with new ones. Nintendo can go head to head with Sony with Metroid and especially Pokemon, which could win them E3 with all the anticipation surrounding it. Microsoft is the unquestionable outsider and really need to impress if they wish to get back in the game. I'm also pretty hyped for Bethesda as I expect them to announce their rumored sci-fi RPG and reveal an end of the year release.

Nintendo- they haven't given any details on Smash, Pokemon, or Metroid Prime 4 yet, all of which I am highly interested in. Plus I'm sure they'll have some surprises. A new IP would be cool. Also hoping for Mario Maker Switch.

I can't get hyped for Sony because they always show animated CGI trailers of games that won't be out for 2-3 years.

Nintendo show games that are out the same year, but from them, i'm really only hoping for some Metroid Prime 4 footage.

MS... no hype if they have nothing new to hype.

PC ... CyberPunk 2077 is probably the hype train i'll ride this year.

Sony is where it's always been at for me. This year I'm hoping for a Dino Crisis reboot, a Twisted Metal reboot, Ghost of Tsushima info, as well as Shenmue HD and 3 release dates.

Nintendo could show something interesting. They already announced Smash so maybe some info on the character roster for that. I'd also really like Twilight Princess HD and a four player couch coop Zelda Four Swords.

I expect Microsoft to attempt another year exclusivity deal with the new Tomb Raider. I honestly hope Square learned from their previous mistake and tells MS to f**k off. A smart move for them at this point would be bringing back Battletoads.

Sony is compelling with Spider-Man, TLoU 2, maybe Bloodborne 2 and whatever other big guns they bring. Nintendo is as well with Metroid Prime 4, Bayonetta 3, Octopath Traveler, and Yoshi. Have no idea what to expect from Microsoft but they could be the dark horse. I'm personally most excited for Nintendo because I'm partial to their games.

As a cow I'm most hyped for Microsoft. Srsly the lemmings have become so pathetic because Xbone has nothing to offer, system wars is boring because of that. Most lemmings went on an exodus.

Let's hope our lemming friends come back when MS throws a bone this E3.

Sony easily wins. Microsoft and Nintendo have no games.
