i never liked the Harry Potter games at all...the books and movies are great (its the only book i will ever read, i hate reading anything else)...but the games get old with their random missions like finding spellbooks in the caverns hidden behind teachers' classrooms
My dad tried to get me to read that book. It was like 1000 pages! The length wasn't the problem I just don't see how they can condense such a novel into a single film or video game without really tearing it apart. I tried reading some of it but I'm a genius level intellect. Anything less than Gene Wolfe and fiction is just too kiddy for me.
What's with all the Harry Potter hate? The series is great. The video games are merely decent (only one I really played was Prisoner of Azkaban, which was okay but the load times were horrible) but after reading the IGN review for OotP, this one looks pretty good. No load times almost makes it a buy for me, but either way I'll probably rent it through Gamefly.
The game looks subpar IMO, however the movie actually looks really nice. I might go see the movie (it will be the first harry potter movie I will see in a theater).

Intellects don't use social jargons as you did when you say "It was like 1000 pages!" Nor would they use such a heinous descriptor as "genius level intellect".
"Oh you know like the Wii is like the best thing in the world. Like it is just like such a thrill!"
Hope that example teaches you to stop using that jargon, "genius level intellect". Actuallly go out and read books.
It's one of the 4 games I need to pick up before the end of the month. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, and while the games are rarely above your typical movie tie-in, they still have some of the Harry Potter magic.
It would probably be better than The Half Blood Prince. The book was awesome, but the movie deserves B movie status it's so bad. It doesn't even feel like a complete movie. In fact, it really felt like a romantic commedy.
