CAPCOM. Die hard fan of Resident Evil and Devil May Cry. Hope they make Dragons Dogma 2 soon.
Who is your most favourite japanese video game dev?
I also like Ryu Ga Gotoku studio, at 2nd place.

Thanking everyone in advance.

The obvious answer is Fromsoft, a dev that is unable to release a bad game. Followed by Capcom. I don't think there's a single other Japanese dev that i give a crap about.
Oh man that’s pretty tough for me to pick between Capcom and Nintendo. They’re pretty much neck and neck for me. They’re closely followed by Square-Enix and Platinum Games.
Too many to name really. My favorites include Kojima, Platinum Games, Nintendo, Atlus, Sega, and so much more.
Intelligent Systems, because they made The Thousand Year Door.
Can't say I've ever liked any other JRPG.
Pokemon. Surely you like the Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow or Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal
Larger companies, all time, tossup between Nintendo and Capcom. Though currently gonna give the nod to Capcom. Legacy as strong as Ninty, but has done more for me in recent years. They annoy me just as often as the please me, but that's the life of a Capcom fan.
Sega still dope too.
Smaller studios, definitely dig the likes of ArcSys, Platinum, Koji Pro, From, Cave, etc.

I did, but I was never blown away by any of them. I own a good 3 Pokemon games across numerous Nintendo handhelds, but can't say I've played any of them for more than 5 hours.
TTYD is just enjoyable from beginning to end, carried by its amazing settings you discover and characters you meet.

Ninja Blade sucked. Doubt all the Armored Core games are good..

Ninja Blade had potential, but yeah its sucks for me atleast on Steam. Runs like ass first , then too many qte's.

Those were the times Fromsoft was pretty welfare status and i don't think Miyasaki was the lead. I never even heard of Ninja Blade lmao.
@hardwenzen: Good. Don't look it up. Your perfect image of Fromsoft might be tarnished.
Fromsoft is pretty much Miyasaki. He leaves for whatever reason, and i see the whole thing going down.
I don't think I have a favorite Japanese developer anymore. They've pretty much all become mediocre for me. FF7 Remake was good so I guess Square?
Capcom was front of the pack for the PS1 and PS2 gens. Even into the PS3 Gen. They were basically crap from 2010 to 2018 though.
Eh.... honestly, after Astro's Playroom on PS5, Asobi is probably my favorite Japanese dev.
