Who is the best FPS developer today?

Valve- Half Life Alyx .

id Software has the best recent games, but I really like what Valve, 4A Games, and DICE have done in the past. DICE is my favourite FPS developer overall because I love BF and have played thousands of hours since BF 1942. They need to get their shit together though. They have fucked up recent efforts.

They are no longer FPS developer. jedi fallen order now become thier series. third person.

They created Apex Legends and are working on Medal of Honor VR. Also, they made the fabulous Titanfall 2. Can't deny them of that!

Valve obviously, they just reinvented the genre with alyx, a game that blows away any of the boring fps made by ID...

I say drop the live service. It was awful in Battlefield V.

Hated the dripfeed and I'm glad support has come to an end, couldn't take waiting months for 1 single map anymore.

Give me back content drops like BF 3, BF 4 and BF 1.

ID Software. I wasn't a fan of Doom 2016's constant room to room lockdowns, but the gunplay is fantastic. Haven't played Eternal.

Bungie does great gunplay too, but I am not really a fan of Destiny. The idea was there, but it just felt too generic and bullet sponge enemies really bothers me. I mean I am shooting an enemy to the point where it would be grizzle with the amount of bullets I am hitting it with but it is still at 3/4 health, wtf?

Yeah, I would rather pay for premium and get good post release content. I don't care about chapters, assignments, etc.. I just want good content and a lot of it.

Modern valve is overated, make a VR Half Life spin off and people say they are the best at making FPS games lol

All time: ID Software - Quake 3 Arena n Doom 1 n 2 stone cold classics.

Currently: ID Software, even tho Ubisoft has made the best FPS of the gen in Rainbow Six Siege. I'm more willing to believe Siege is a fluke, where as Doom Eternal actually addresses all the things wrong with Doom 4, and fixes them and makes a pretty legit action game.

And in sales and player counts - CoD blows every developer’s offerings out of the water - combined. It’s stupid to leave them off your list and even dumber to deny CoD is the king of shooters.

Nobody. Id is great, but they haven't made enough game (as of late) to be considered as the best. Same applies to Valve.
