Who is keeping their Xbox One and making direct comparisons with the Xbox One X?

I've got a 55" Samsung UN55H6300 (1080p) and a 55" Samsung UN55KS8000 (4K) ready to go.

My plan is to make my base Xbox One my home Xbox, download, install and run everything and then take it offline on the 1080p set. Hook up my Xbox One X to my 4K TV, install everything and run it side by side.

Anyone else have some type of similar plans to see how different things really look and run?

Why would it be a waste of time to personally measure and weigh the tangible benefits? Regardless, gaming is a waste of time in general.

I'll trade my X1 for credit toward the X1X, if the deal is available. I'll just look up the differences on YouTube lol.

@endofaugust: You'd need to use the same tv to do a fair comparison. The 4k tv will make both look better.

I was just going to give mine to my brother, I'm sure people will make a gazillion videos comparing how the XB1 version compares to The X version.

This sounds so sad. Do you really have to justify your purchase so much, that you build an entire setup just to confirm it was worth it? The sad truth is, that you will notice the change in Tv much more than the change in console (an a "small" Tv of 55''). If you don't, you should get a PC to actually get real 4k

I'll keep my original Xbox One however it'll get packed back up in its box and put away. The Xbox One X will become my next main system. I'll just check out comparison videos on YouTube.

The X1 will be moved to my bedroom replacing the 360S. The 360S will be moved to the boat replacing my 2006 OG 360. The OG 360 will likely just be given to one of my boating friends.

So I'll be doing no side by side comparisons since me thinks the Mighty X1X will make X1 look like Poo and really who needs Poo other than cows. lol :P

I'm keeping my original Xbox One and will wait for the real shit that is the next Xbox next-gen console. The same goes for my launch PS4. I'm NOT supporting these mid-gen upgrade consoles.

I have a 4K and 1080p tv mounted side by side and have compared UHD to bluray many times already. This is the kind of geeky stuff I like to do as well. I have a day one Xbox One and a Xbox One S already. I'm sure I will run some things side by side for the hell of it.

I already game share with my bro so I can't really switch home console but I still plan on keeping my original Xbox. I don't plan on trying to run it side by side because I already know things will just run better and look better on the X1X over the original X1. I'll just watch and read it up online for the comparisons, I'm pretty sure there will be a bunch.

I don't know how you console gamers do it. I don't even get that in-depth with PC systems, and I'm a huge PC gamer. Lol

You're spending money on something twice, but the utility you get has remained the same, effectively halving the utility you get from each of your duplicate consoles. In economic terms, that makes you an irrational customer. In colloquial terms, that makes you a sucker.

Incidentally I am someone who has bought multiples of the same products (hardware and software) loads of times before. I know I am a 'sucker' (or shameless whore, as I call myself). I'm fine with being a 'sucker', we're enthusiasts of this hobby so most likely to be 'suckers'. That doesn't change what we are, rolling your eyes at it changes nothing.

@Enragedhydra: They are upgraded systems so it's not like people are buying the exact same system for no reason. It's really not at all different from what has been going on in previous generations with other system redesigns like "Slim" models etc. only this gen is seeing substantial power upgrades. Nintendo also did this with the 3DS which got a power boost as well.

@hrt_rulz01: last gen. I bought 2 ps3's so that I had a blu-ray player for both my tv's.

So buying one console for yourself, then buying another for your kid or something, makes you a "sucker"? I disagree.
