Who has better exclusives Sony or MS?

hello all, I am getting ready for christmas and I'm going to ask for one of the "next gen" consoles. I used to be a big Halo fan but after halo 4 I don't think that I'm gonna buy a Xone just because they have halo. Also the ps4 is 100$ less than the xone.

Which next gen console would be a good choice for someone who likes FPS, Platformers, TPS, JRPG's, WRPG's, TRPG's, Racers, fighters, action adventure, rail shooters, shootemups, and RTS ?

OR, should I ask for a gaming PC?

Can't really go wrong with PS4, XBONE or PC

For consoles Easily the PS4 because:

• PS4 $100 cheaper than xbox one
• PS4 is far mroe powerful than xbox one
• multiplats are better looking on ps4 than xbox one
• PS4 will have a lot of exclusives because of Sony's first party studios while xbox one you'll be stuck with halo, gears and forza
• PS+ is better and $10 cheaper than Live
• PS4 is backwards compatible via Gaikai a cloud based network so you'll be able to play PS3 games on it
• PS4 has remote play
• PS4 dosent have a forced camera

OR you can get a PC its up to you but a PC can be better the more you pay for it, games are cheaper on PC or can be fully free and some multiplats are few months late on pc.

Well, PS3 has had more GOTY exclusives than any other platform the entire generation (that includes wii, xbox360 and PC)

PS4 will probably continue that tradition with the high standards sony developers set for themselves and the high quality of already established PS franchises....just saying.

As of right now between the new consoles it's the Xbox One. When the new Infamous comes out the answer might change. And by the end of 2014 it could be lopsided in Sony's favor unless Microsoft has some surprise 2014 games. But things like price and power mean nothing when talking about exclusives. The PS4 is more powerful than the Xbox One for sure. But if you put the exclusives up against each other the PS4 doesn't look more powerful.

it's generally sony, but it seems that uncharted is the only exclusive they have these days that everyone can agree on

Yeah last gen I went with Xbox cause it was cheaper than a ps3, and I feel like I'm bored now with the MS exclusive series, so this gen it looks like I'm going with Ps4 due to the Price point.

What JRPG's are exclusive to Sony? cause the only Jrpg i remember being a 360 exclusive was Blue dragon

Sony has the best exclusive, when sony deliver us a AAA game, we speak with our wallet.

When Microsoft delivers lemmings an AAA game, they wait for the price to dropped or rent it lol...or don't buy it at all. *cough* Forza 5 *Cough*

Ill take Halo over any Sony franchise. The only Sony exclusives worth playing this gen were Uncharted 2 and TLOU. Everything is meh.

At this very moment and till early next year the X1 has the most exclusives, in the future, probably the PS4.

Exclusive, exclusive...Its not as if everyone plays games for exclusivity. Just get the one that you are more interested in

There aren't a whole lot of exclusives out right now and no matter which console you pick, you''re only going to have 1 or 2 quality exclusives to play with few average Indie games thrown in. XB1 has the better exclusives right now with Forza 5, Dead Rising 3, Ryse: Son of Rome and some Indie games like Powerstar Golf & Killer Instinct. Peggle 2 just got released as well. The PS4 has KZ:SF, Knack, Resogun and a couple other Indie games. Both systems has ACIV, Cod: Ghost, NFS: Rivals, BF4, Madden, NBA 2K14 and several other multiplat games. You better off waiting until next year when Titanfall, Project Spark, Fable Legends, Infamous SS & The Order: 1886 are released. That would be a better time to grab a next-gen system I think.

There's also the exclusive 1080p+60fps multiplatform on Ps4.

And the fact that playstation exclusvies have garnered more GOTY winning titltes than all other consoles conbined. If we are talking bout the "best games" then that fact is a huge factor in the comparison between other systems.

Sony has better exclusives, no question about that unless you're a die-hard Halo fan.

I've done some research and it looks like both consoles don't have any games that look interesting to me. KI looked appealing but they only give you one character? and I don't see how they can make forza any better besides a graphics upgrade. I played 4 on the 360 and got bored after 3 days of playing with all the settings on as realistic as possible with manual transmission.

I would say go with the xbox one for now if you can afford it, but if not don't buy either of them The exclusive lineup for the PS4 is not that strong right now even though it's pretty cheap(not including a sales tax you may have to pay), but you get better graphics in the multiplat games compared to the xbox one.I do not really care about graphics at all so it's your choice.The xbox one has a stronger lineup than the PS4 right now, but it cost $100 more than the PS4. I would wait until next fall for to buy either of them especially the PS4.

@Platform_King: There's no right or wrong answer as it's all opinionated. Some gamers will love PS exclusives and other gamers will love Xbox exclusive. Like me, many gamers will love exclusive on both systems. I don't like every exclusive on every system though. Like I hated M.A.G., Haze, Lair, Gundam, etc on the PS3, but I loved Ni No Kuni, Uncharted 2, God of War 1-3 & Dragon's Crown. Same with XBox 360. Hated Kinect Star Wars, GoW: Judgement, Crackdown 2 & Halo: ODST, but loved Forza 4, Halo Reach, Gears of War & Naruto: Rise of a Ninja.

Probably should wait a little while to see what kind of games the systems will actually be getting. Some of the genres listed will certainly be strongly supported on either platform but some of them are also more of wildcards and could go either way. Just wait.

to me MS in the meantime, though I'm certain Sony will get better exclusives in the long turn, for instance we can probably expect Persona 6 on the PS4 after the PS5 releases

@Platform_King: Actually you can buy the version that comes with all the characters and extra skin stuff. I think the version you infering is the free2play one, im talking about Killer Instinct

get a ps4, cheaper and more powerful.. you'll be able to play games on 1080p

Are you serious? Sony has definitely the better 1st party between the two and arguably the overall best 1st party on consoles. MS 1st party is laughably bad in comparison with both Sony or Nintendo. 15 fvckin years in the industry and all they could produce of high quality was Halo and Forza.

PS4 will have many great games like Uncharted 4, Infamous Second Son, Killzone Shadowfall, another Last of Us most likely and on and on.

X1 will have Titan Fall, Halo, Forza and on and on.

I prefer PS4. If Halo is outta the question for deciding which to buy, then it comes down to the others and the controller. Which PS4's controllers is the best this gen. If you care about watching TV and talking to your console then X1.

JRPG's- if this gen is any indication it is PS4

Shooters-both consoles will excel in this department.

Platformers- Wii U wins in this department and Sony is right behind them.
