Pirates of the Caribbean press a button once in awhile move games or playing BOTW on the toilet?

Nintendo has three series worth talking about.
1- Metroid. Dead franchise since 1977.
2- Mario 2d/3d. Relevant to many. Personally couldn't care less unless its SMG3.
3- Zelda. Comes out once per generation so not much of gameplay on offer here.
Sony exclusives destroy Nintendo offerings.
Nintendo first party have something that make game is 'fun' even when the graphic is mediocre, Sony first party they don't have that kind of thing.

That's why Sony exclusives are getting more awards than Nintendo can ever dream of. But then again, don't expect too many awards when all you're doing is release hd ports and emulators.
@hardwenzen: main purpose of game is fun, not winning award. Most people don't care with the opinion of journalist or influencer. They want to play game for fun. That is why most nintendo first party sold like peanut even at no price cut after years.
If gamer care about winning award TLOU2 would be at number one chart all year along.
have both and sony exclusive is way better imo. though ninendo has a unique experience when it comes to exclusive.

If someone start to do personal attack when disscusing about a topic, then it is the sign that he know his argument is wrong.

Nintendo aren't known for having overly complicated characters and big cinematic experiences like Sony and Microsoft are. Sony games cost more to make and have bigger teams, and they put heavy focus on cinematography and story. Nintendo doesn't. Nintendo games do not have as much cutscenes and do not have multiple celebrities in their games either. Nintendo keeps it basic, which is why their first party games are more fun to play, but do not get awards. Not saying Sony games are boring either though. Sony also have fun exclusives too. I wouldn't say they're as fun as Nintendo. It depends on what the person wants. If you want simple games you can just boot up and start playing, you go to Nintendo, which is what a lot of people do want. If you want a game that will challenge your intelligence and give you heavy written stories, you go with Sony.
I like to keep my stuff relatively simple so, I'd say Nintendo has the better exclusives. Most of the most fun 3rd party games are not Sony exclusives and are available on PC and Xbox. I'm not counting timed exclusives like FF7R either because, that will be going to PC and Xbox after their exclusivity is over, which I think is supposed to be this year.
Lol, Nintendo doesn't have exclusives anymore, remember.
What do you mean? Nintendo has Super Mario, The Legend Of Zelda, Xenoblade, Donkey Kong Country, Star Fox, Metroid, Astral Chain, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Bravely Default, Kirby, Yoshi, Luigi, and a lot of other exclusive IPs.

You call this a personal attack? 😁 You must be from Cali.
@meganorm64: most of them are ports of Wii U games, remember?
Some gamers didn't bother with the Wii U until the Switch arrive and Nintendo started porting some of the Wii U games to Switch since the Switch isn't BC.
Doesn't change the fact that a bunch of Switch's 1st party games are Wii U ports lol. Not saying I don't like them though. I love my Switch!

I think you misunderstand the OP question. He isn't asking which console has better exclusives, he's asking which brand or company has the better exclusives. Everything I listed are exclusive Nintendo IPs, doesn't matter if they came out on the NES, SNES, GC, Wii, Wii U, or Switch. Actually, I lied, I listed some games that are exclusive to the Switch instead of the IPs, like Astral Chain, and Fire Emblem is an Intelligent Systems IP... I THINK lol. There are some Switch exclusives out there though, like, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Super Mario Odyssey. the upcoming Metroid Prime 3 and Bayonetta 3, Astral Chain, Fire Emblem 3 Houses, Xenoblade 2, Kirby Allstars, Yoshi Crafted World, Mario+Rabbids, Luigi's Mansion 3, and a lot of other titles. The only Wii U ports that I know of are Breath Of The Wild, Xenoblade Definitive Edition, although the definitive edition is exclusive to Switch, Mario Kart 8, Tokyo Mirage, Pokken Tournament, and Bayonetta 2.
@hardwenzen: I resent that LOL! I'm from Cali.
If Nintendo were still making Metriod Prime, F-Zero and Donkey Kong Country games, I'd might have considered voting for them.
Metroid Prime 4 is in deep development. I want another DK game too because Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze was really great. F-Zero... Feels bad, man.
Better? That is a weird one. I have played more Sony exclusives over the past 10 years than Nintendo. I enjoyed games from both in different ways. I am not one to spend time figuring out which one I enjoyed more when I just enjoyed playing. Well except for Uncharted 3 and 4. 😎
I don't think one is necessarily better than the other. Both has their value and place in their industry. Sometimes I'm in the mood for something more playful and gamey. Sometimes I want a story I can take part of. Both approaches are amazing and are for the better.
For me it's Sony easily. The only IP from Nintendo I like is Zelda, and BOTW came out 4 years ago. Played it on my WiiU that had less than 70 hours worth of playtime in the console, beat it easily, then moved on. Nintendo hasn't produced anything that interests me since, and I've played at least 6 Sony exclusives that I've enjoyed since BOTW released in 2017.
Idk i really can’t name any New Nintendo IP, all they do is mario zelda and metroid games just like ms with gears forza and halo games. The Nintendo games are fun but i really got bored of the same characters and same story save the princess. Had all Nintendo consoles all the way until GamCube

The OP, who doesn't put any effort into his threads, and that showcases well here lol, doesn't really specify what he means by Sony or Nintendo. If we're talking first party, Nintendo easily wins in platformers. As far as action adventure, Zelda is definitely among the industries best. But as far as other categories, I love Fire Emblem, but it's not the best tactical series in my opinion (XCOM does better). Astral Chain was fun (and third party), but hardly a top recommendation in hack n slash. For Example, God of War would easily win in that comparison. You can also play Devil May Cry 5. Nier Automata would also take the cake from most people. Animal Crossing is Animal Crossing lol, definitely wins in the sim category. Xenoblade 2 was good (I don't think it's first party), but I would hardly put that in the top JRPG category. You can play better JRPGs on PS4 like Persona 5 Royal. So yea, I love Nintendo games, but if you want to compare library to library, PS4 blows Switch out of the water.
@SolidGame_basic: Devil May Cry 5 isn’t exclusive.
I know, but God of War is, and on top of God of War, you can play other hack n slash games that are considered better than Astral Chain. I loved Astral Chain, but it was pretty niche for most people.
Nintendo just simply has so much that I’d take over Sony’s offerings that it isn’t even close. Stuff like:
- Mario
- Zelda
- Metroid
- Xenoblade Chronicles
- Astral Chain
- Bayonetta
- Donkey Kong Country
- Fire Emblem
- Yoshi
- Mario Kart
- Animal Crossing
- Pokémon
- Tokyo Mirage
- Mario + Rabbids
- Splatoon
Probably more I could even mention.
@SolidGame_basic: Um, yeah. This thread is about exclusives, not adding third party multi platform games “on top of that”. 😅
And I’d rather play Astral Chain over God of War. What’s your point? 🤷♂️
