The soundtrack, gameplay, story, characters, style, rpg elements, extra content, it's all just to awsome for me to stomach :P

RPG elements? Kingdom Hearts 2 felt like a light action game (without the depth and challenge you would find in Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden with tacked on RPG elements. As for the story another typical pile of crap you would expect from Nojima IMO

I agree with you there, but if you take instead the Final Mix edition of the second game, with the Level One self-imposed challenge on Critical difficulty, game gives Ninja Gaiden quite a run for its money.

I'll look into both and take a gamble on either of the two, thanks.

Diablo and Mass Effect destroy kingdom hearts.

argetlam00

Mass Effect 2 is definitely the best acion RPG. Especially when going by TC's criteria of story, characters, sound track, and art styIe. Also has hands down the best voice cast, not just in any RPG, but of any video game to date.

Speaking of Kingdom Hearts... :3

Nah not gonna say it. Anyway I wouldn't say the best but it's up there for me. I had some great time with Kingdom hearts 2. Though the beginning is just too damn slow for me :P

All told through that glorious Bioware standard of making everyone say it with such a straight face that lacks any actual emotion and stiff body language. /hatin :)

It's not as easy to sync up facial animations to dialog that's dynamic. The NPC's responses will be dependant on your dialog choices, so the game has to string together NPC dialog from a sequence of variables. As opposed to conversation where everything is pre-dertermined from beginning to end of the scene, both the words and the character acting direction.

The dialogue is hardly that dynamic. You have full control of every cutscene and which cutscene the game goes to. In theory every scenario should be expected to be well thought out and developed since you know the big hook is "YOU CONTROL THE STORY" yada yada. It's not a matter of Bioware's job is easy or anything. I mean having good gun play apparently isn't easy with the way so many TPS games suffer in that department(Mafia 2 being one), but it's still a legit draw back. Mass Effect 2s writing, characters, and yeah the voice actors are all on point. The actual visual presentation is a mixed bag. What with the uncanny faces, the stiff body language, and the immersion breaking level design didn't help matters either. Bioware needs to start getting their characters to match the emotions there voice actors try to convey.

I agree with you. It's story is easily perfect in all aspects. Even though it's kind of a hack n' slasher, I dig it. The soundtrack is so underrated as well. It's kinda hard to stomach it all in!
