Sony had some great new IPs this gen. I really hoped Nintendo would have released more new IPs on the Wii.

How could you forget games like Gears of War, Trials, Alan Wake, etc? They are in more than one system, just like Uncharted, LBP, Resistance and others.

i'd say Sony for sure - inFamous, LittleBigPlanet, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Gravity Rush, Resistance, Starhawk. all really good games in my eyes. to hell with some of the reviews i say.

second would be Nintendo, with Last Story, Xenoblade Chronicles, Red Steel - but i don't think you can count any of those first party exclusives.

360, really not to hate on it, just the only new IP this gen that i've really liked is Gears of War and Crackdown. Forza and Halo (just finished Halo 4 recently) are great series but they started in the last gen. The rest, can anyone honestly say they're like super psyched at the current roster of Kinect games?

and this is just my opinion, the thread seems to be asking for my opinion, not simply waht the reviewers seem to be saying with their numerical scoring.

To be fair, those games were published by MS, also Mass Effect. If TC meant first party dev games, then i think his list is right.

The problem with Sony exclusives is that they have no longevity behind them. They are forgotten in the next gen. Look at ps1 and ps2 exclusives like syphon filter, spyro, crash, parapa the rapper. Nobody cares for them these days. Halo will live on for generations to come. It's timeless because the gameplay is timeless.

Quality (70% or higher via GR) New retail IPs published by the Soniez, Nintendoz and Microsoftiez.

Even great series that Sony use to have like Gran Turismo is losing its luster and is going off by just brand name alone. Sad sight to see.
