What about you, SW?

Aesthetically? I love my Ganondorf, Ike, Marth, as Shulk, Toon Link, and Yarn Yoshi amiibos.
My Zelda Amiibo has a special place in my heart though. She was my first <3 and she kicks a whole lot of ass in Smash. I don't know what I did when training her, but she's crazy badass.
I don't have one. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thinking about getting the Cloud and Bayonetta amiibos though.
I'm guessing trying to get a shovel knight amiibo would be much more expensive now...
@MirkoS77: Amiibos are great, man
I've already made a thread expressing my disdain of them explaining why. *Puke*. Let's see where they lead. Let's just not hear any bitching and moaning when Nintendo eventually guts a game people would've loved to see, like a new Animal Crossing, in exploitation of selling cheap junk.
Too late.

The Animal Crossing game Nintendo made wasn't gutted- it wasn't even a mainline Animal Crossing game. It was a party spin off made with the express purpose of being a flagship title for the Animal Crossing Amiibo line.
There is nothing wrong with Amiibo, as long as they don't actively infringe on a game, or its content- thus far, they have done the exact opposite. And having cheap collectible figures of some of my favorite game characters is pretty damn good, too.

They have infringed on a game, this I linked in my other thread. Shovel Knight also had co-op locked beneath an Amiibo purchase. You yourself admitted the risk inherent in its model, and these are precedents dangerous to see, especially now that Kimishima has said they will be incorporated more and more into their games.
Like I elaborated on, I don't like being forced to purchase a toy if I simple want the DLC. It's minor additions for one game, yes, but collectively it amounts to a lot of missing content for an exorbitant amount of money, 95% of which is going towards the production and materials of the toy I don't care for. 10 skins? Pay $130. I have no other option. When 200 Amiibos hit (and they will), and I want those 200 skin DLCs....$2600, instead of what probably would've amounted to $50 or so separately.
I'd have no problem if Nintendo offered that DLC stand alone, but they don't. I don't understand why, because the people who are buying the Amiibos are probably largely doing it for the figure anway. But it's an exclusionary model for those that don't want it.

I do agree there is danger in this path- I stand by that assessment. But as it stands right now, I haven't seen anything done that raises any warning flags for me. Shovel Knight is an egregious example, yes, but that was a third party game and a third party decision.
My hope is that Amiibos are integrated into future games smartly- like how Smash and Splatoon managed it, rather than Shovel Knight. I have no issues with their existence at all.
I also agree that selling that DLC by itself is probably a good compromise that Nintendo should look at.
@charizard1605: are the Splatoon Amiibos for sale? Not rhetorical. Is it possible to earn the rewards they grant through MP?
Edit: We'll see. With the NX, I'll bet Nintendo's going to go all-in with Amiibos for their games. "Added bonuses" and "Locked content" is all a matter of perspective, and tending towards being a pessimist myself, I view them as a means of withholding content behind a paywall far disproportionate to what they enable. Time will tell.
@MirkoS77: The Splatoon amiibo allow you to play through the single player levels with different parameters like playing the levels with the roller. That is the only way to play through that content. Regarding gear,I think if you see someone with the amiibo gear in your hub world you can "order" it from Spyke. Not sure though.
Samus and Lucina look really good. They're nothing like the Kotobukiya statues though. Of course Amiibos are considerably cheaper too, and with the DLC bonus, they are a good value. They look good on the shelf. I don't mind the DLC aspect as long as it is truly superficial or at least "new" bonus content.
However, it's always concerning that game companies may use DLC as a way to withhold content for a ransom that would have otherwise been included in the base game.
Unfortunately, DLC is here to stay, so it is up to us gamers to be more selective and show developers what kinda of practices and DLC content is appropriate (with our wallets). I think this can be tough cause gamers like myself are always looking to collect everything. Must fight the urge lol. There has to be a psychological element to DLC.
I'm naturally drawn to the Olimar amiibo. I'm impressed with the detail, the fact that they put three Pikmin on his stand, and that they have the transparent casing around his head.
If I had to choose favorites, these would be it.

Goddam, look at all those toyz !!!!! very kool !!!.
My favorite Amiibos are Donkey and Diddy Kong, been seriously thinking about getting Dr Mario. Gold and Silver Mario aren´t interesting enough for me, shit, at least they could have painted the eyes.
The one that doesn't exist.
Yep. Nothing against the collecting aspect, but it's just another way to take out content that should've been with the game in the first place.

So the only way to have those features is to have the Splatoon Amiibo? Is it for sale, or is that functionality permanently locked away, privy to only the early birds? I don't know what Spyke is.
@Chozofication: pretty much. Again, they make it separate, I wouldn't even care one iota. As it is now, it's the worst DLC distribution system I've yet to see, and I fear it's only going to get worse.
They're very cheaply made for me to buy one. It's tempting sometimes though, as I'd like to have merchandise from some of the franchises that have next to nothing.
I dont buy little toys
I'm 100% certain you own various anime figures (not like that's a bad thing but that's rich coming from you).
Zero Suit Samus, which I haven't acquired because every time I go to the store and see it I think how I don't need to waste the money then I think "when is the last time I fired up my Wii U" and that takes care of that.
I also want a Little Mac but haven't seen any of those in stores.
I know Bayonetta is coming and that has me stoked.
Too much awesome! A million points for the amazing matrix figures.
