Which Is The Better Next Gen Console? Playstation 3 Or XBOX 360?

I have owned both a Playstation 3 and an XBOX 360, ( I don't have the 360 anymore, I sold it. ) and I personaly find the PS3 far superiour. It is quiet, reliable, has free online play, great exclusives and many more things. I found XBOX Live brilliant, but that was about it. Halo is so overated in my opinion, and yes. I had Halo 3.

Depends what you like, for me its a pretty simple breakdown:

For games: 360

For movies: PS3

I have both, and i have barely touched my PS3 since i got it, 99% of my gaming is on 360 with Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Gears, Halo 3 etc etc, and given MGS4 scores so low, and the fact that i never liked those games, PS3 just got a LOT worst, does not have any games i want this year, not one !!!

Xbox 360 on the other hand has NG2, Too Human, Infinite Undisocvery, Tales, Gears 2, Fable 2, Banjo 3, Pinata 2 all must buy games for me

It is the most useless console i have ever bought personally, and after the MGS4 fiasco i am thinking about selling it, since it will probably break from all the dust it has collected

You obviously don't own a Playstation 3, and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is doing better than Gears of War.

8/10 from Eurogamer and Edge is the same as Gears of war got.

9.9/10 from IGN is higher than Gears of War got :)

Resistance 2 is going to be a great game... 60 player online, 8 player online co-op with , "moblie phone" headset quality, 2 different story modes for mulitplayer and single player.

For the answer to this question (and others) please look on EVERY systems wars page that has the EXACT same questions;

1. Which system is better?
2. Which graphics are better?

3. Which exclusives are better?

4. Which system will end up being better?

We see so many of these threads everyday. Also why is it always between PS3 /360, why no Wii?All consoles have there "ups" and "downs". The decision is up to you to make. However games are most important for a GAMING console.

Umm what? As of right now according to gamerankings only one reviewer has reviewed MGS4 under a 9/10.

To answer the TC. Both have advantages and disadvantages.

Both have Pros and Cons, but fanboys don't think so.

Graphics(exclusives): PS3

At the moment the 360 has the more extensive library to bad most of those so called "killer" titles are overrated and better online (There was no way Sony was going to match or beat Microsoft at online out of the gate period).

Any user saying the PS3 is only good for Blu-Ray movies needs a reality check. The PS3 is behind now but from this year onward the 360 will have some real competition as long as Sony doesn't make any more major mistakes.

PS3 for upcoming games like MGS4, Little Big Planet, and Final Fantasy 13. 360 for the online and some of the non-overrated titles.DanteSuikoden

All my attention atm is on MGS4.

Hey I am kinda in the same boat as you are. I currently own an xbox 360 and I am thinking about selling it and getting the PS3 MGS4 bundle. I wasn't really satisfied with the xbox 360 so I am hoping that the PS3 turns out to be better;)

If I had the money. I would own both right now. PS3 have some very good strong suits, but 360 offers better replay value.

With the Wii and its Gamecube hardware in there it does get confusing.

The 360 looks better when it comes to game library.

The PS3 looks better when you look at its spec sheet (but really isn't that more advanced).

Both are superior consoles though.

360 has a better games library at the moment.

Ps3 has some truly great exclusives

360 tends to have better graphics on multiplats

In the end i settled with the ps3 purely for the reliability. I'm not a huge gamer and i JUST want a system that works when i want to play it, can play dvds without the fear of overheating...

Both consoles are fine....

The 360 has come out with such a blazing fury in the past 3 years it is nearly impossible me to catch up from 2007 alone. This lull in the 360 grind period has allowed me to FINALLY crack into Uncharted (Brilliant and fun, just lacked content) & Ratchet & Clank. (Fun, but not quite my cup of tea. AA is about right). I mean I just opened Conan today after owning it for half a damn year, and just beat Overlord yesterday...

My PS3 gets very little use. I only use it for movies because the PS3 control stays near my bed...because I don't play it.

Hummm i do most of my gaming on XBOX360

I get most/all my multiplat games on Xbox FIRST(i usualy get them on both platforms) just so i can play with my freinds who ahve an Xbox,also it has more exclusives,and more that appeal to me.

PS3 was more of a investment,cause i knew it would be ages until the games i wanted to be released,that time is looming,so i expect soon my consoles will get equal play time

The Xbox 360 right now. The library and exclusives are both in the 360s favor right now.

What the future games do is still up in the air. PS3 could jump out ahead or the 360 could maintain and extend its lead over the PS3 in gamelibrary and exclusives.
