Which is the best game to score a 10 in Gamespot?

I voted BotW. My favorite game I've ever played, and have been a gamer since the NES launched here in North America.

Witcher 3, easily.

The worldbuilding in TW3 is unrivaled. It's the first RPG I've ever played where the world actually felt alive. The scale of the game was mind boggling. BOTW was fun, but the world felt dead.

Both Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time & Breath of the Wild have earned 10/10 by GS and I stand by that. Buuuut if I must pick one Zelda here in this thread, Ocarina of Time is still my favorite Zelda game back on N64 snd now on 3DS. So it get's the vote.

I vote mgsv, the story was lacking, but that gameplay is beautiful

This, and for much the same reasons. Stories and side missions were compelling, too; actually cared about what I did in the game.

Haven't tried BotW since I don't own a console, but it sounds great.

Also Divinity: Original Sin 2, again, for the game world, game mechanics, meaningful activities, humor and tone, and a lot more.

Personally, I think that 10/10 scores are given out too easily especially in recent years. There is only one game on this list that was deserving of it's 10/10 in my opinion and that is Ocarina of Time. For it's time, it was nearly perfect and it was also a revolutionary game that created the blueprint for 3D adventure games. I can't say the same about any other game on this list.

Hmmm, I'd argue the opposite since Uncharted 4 is more of a movie than it is a game.

I voted Chrono Cross but I could also have easily voted for Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, or Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Ocarina of Time. As close to a masterpiece as a game has come for its era.

MGS V, Journey, THPS 3 and Super Mario Galaxy were highly undeserved IMO. THPS 3 was ok at best and even THPS 2 was better, personaly. MGS IV may be a controversial 10 currently but I really did enjoy it back in 2008 so I say it was deserved (Octocamo was a phenomenal mechanic for its time). I may not agree with U4 10 score but I dont disagree either cause I can see how it can be a 10/10 for some despite not being a 10/10 to me. Its a fantastic game. Journey... no comment. Great experience but hell overpriced for what it offered. MGS V is a great stealth sandbox game but a cr4ppy MGS game; not exactly what MGS fans wanted. So, in conclusion, The Witcher 3 is probably the most deserved 10 out of those I played EVEN THOUGH it wasnt even my favorite game for its respective year, Bloodborne was.

I haven’t played everything on that list, but I never had a single complaint about Ocarina of Time. Absolutely perfect game.

I voted for The Witcher 3, but either Zelda game also deserves top spot.

One of my work friends is playing Ocarina of Time for the first time, and everyone around him can tell him what to do, step by step, from memory. The game is ridiculously influential and memorable.

Probably the best experience I had out of any of these listed was Ocarina of Time, back when I played it on N64.

I still have MGS4. No way in hell it's a 10/10. I already got bored within the early missions.

Although it's not my cup of tea nowadays, I'd go with any of the 10/10 Zelda games as deserving their scores.

I'd take GTA V over MGS4 anytime. I think GTA V was more deserving of a 10 even though it got a 9/10.

The Zeldas. I think I'll go with BotW myself. Nothing else on the list deserves a 10.
