PS 3.
Well?
Seems like there is only two real options. PS3 or PS4. Since the original PS3 can play PS3,PS2 and PS1 games by default it would objectively be the best Playstation system ever released.
BC should never be taken into consideration with polls like this.
Hard to choose between PS1 and the PS2. But I chose PS2 because that's the first PS console I had, even before I had a PS1 :P
ps2. The ps3 and ps4 lost a lot of that Japanese identity. Not too different from Xbox now.
Plus ps2 had a crazy amount of exclusives.
Edit: Didn't mean to quote anyone, doing this from my phone.
Best, Playstation 2. Worst, Playstation 3. Its architecture was a nightmare for multiplatform devs.
PS2 also had jank architecture and usually had the worst multiplats by an even more significant margin. Still, it pulls ahead because of its killer exclusive library. And in that sense, at least at this point in the consoles life, the PS3 is looking a good deal better than the PS4.

Anyways, PS2 is the beast. PS4 ranks in a distant last place for now.
Can I say all of 'em? Cux even with all their faults and shitty times, I loved them all equally ❤️ I never owned a PS1 but I still got to play a few games from that system.
I owned the PS1 and PS2.....I know the PS2 has such an incredible library, but the PS1 had more of an impact on me. I remember when it came out, it helped push gaming into the mainstream and make it look less "geeky", not that I really cared about that aspect in and of itself, but it was part of the excitement nonetheless.
It was the first disc based system I owned, and the sound quality was insane at the time. Then came along a little game called Symphony of the Night. The PS1 had a huge library it was crazy. So PS1 for me.
The PS2 was the first console system I used to play online. Loved that system as well, so many great games.
The original Playstation is definitely my favorite. Though I did ultimately prefer the N64 that generation, I still had a lot of love for the PS1 since there were many great games and even entire genres on the PS1 that I could not get on my N64, so I got a lot of enjoyment out of the original Playstation.
I'm not a big fan of the PS2; it would actually rank close to the bottom of the list of consoles that I've owned. The PS2 was probably a great console if you did not own all of the other consoles that generation since it did have a large library of games and I also understand why the PS2 is so popular for fans of JRPGs since it seems like a great console for that genre of games, but since I hate that genre, most of the interesting games to me on PS2 were multiplats which I could get significantly better versions of on either my Gamecube or Xbox. Therefore, I don't think the PS2 was a great console for a JRPG hating, multi-console owner like myself. Plus, compared to all of the other consoles of that generation, I thought the PS2 was by far the least innovative and was even behind the times on things like, for example, only having two controller ports when all of the other consoles that generation had four.
I thought the PS3 was a terrible console for the first half of it's generation; it had almost no great exclusives in that first half and was inferior to the Xbox 360 in every way. It did make a pretty decent comeback in the second half of the generation and had some of the best games of the generation as exclusives in that second half.
I think it is still too early to judge the PS4, but up until this year, I thought it sucked. Things may be starting to turn around now with recent great games like Uncharted 4 and some future games that I'm excited for like Spiderman. We will see, like I said, it is too early to judge.
I'm not a big fan of handheld gaming and will always prefer to play games on consoles, but as far as handheld gaming goes, the PSP is my favorite handheld of all time. It had good hardware, a pretty great library of games, plus it made a great portable emulator.
The Vita had the best handheld hardware of all time, but unfortunately it's game library is pathetic.
I'm surprised that someone voted for ps4.
I'm not surprised, I'd vote for it over the PS3 anytime.
PS1, way more games that I love to this day, followed by the PS3. I didn't find a lot that I liked during the PS2 era, liked my Xbox a lot more, and PS4 is too early to teel, Sony exclusives have disappointed me this Gen but will start making it up to me when crash comes back
Any answer other than PS2 is literally incorrect.
I don't agree with this, I found the PlayStation to be a much more profound and ground breaking system with more interesting games.
I'll have to say PS3, mostly because most of PS2's best games were remastered on PS3 lol. Also Demon's Souls and Last of Us
Ps2 dominated plus the original release played all ps1 games so it was fully backwards compatible. Plus the online gaming for free. The dvd player packaged in. The thing was perfect!
I was a huge ps1 gamer so I choose that. During PS2 I was big on PC gaming only.
PS4 kinda brought me back to consoles though really enjoy my time with destiny and some big ps4 games that aren't on my pc
PS2 for most gamers, but the PS1 wouldn't be that far behind. PS1 has some killer RPGs and some of the first 3D fighting games. This game blew me away the first time I played it. I played it for hours and hours.
