Both machines have the same specs...
If I spend an extra $100 can I have blue LED's and a see through case on my PC ?
I mean... it's not a deal breaker or anything I just wanted to check.
But what free games are we talking about here...
None? OP said games for 20 bucks, not free games.
ooh I read it wrong, from my cell phone.. So is another PC vs Console thing lol
To me is all depends on the games that the machine offer! Price will be secondary unless it is way over price!

Yes. In a very light disguise. And because of that, people are gonna ignore what the thread really says and go "herp derp Xbox/PS is way better than PC derp" and vote for the dumb option.
Internet is not free.
No, especially not on PS or Xbox where you have to pay for it twice.
And don't leave Nintendo out of the picture, there charging online fees now.
No, they aren't. But they will sometime in the future.

yes, but the Red ones make your PC run faster
On balance I prefer blue LED's though. I'm not blue LED's whore or anything like that. I'd just take preferred LED colour over a faster framerate and day of the week.
Hands down.
@ni6htmare01: Oh well if that's the case it should state
"$1000 machine with $20 games free online. Will require additional investment on hardware every 2 years to continue being able to play games, but hey, it can do spreadsheets!
$300 machine with $80 games plus $60 online. Games will continue to improve graphically throughout its lifespan. Cannot do spreadsheets"

I agree, I'm not sure people are treating this thread seriously enough.

Blue makes it cooler, that's just science

But the $1000 machine that I can use for work can also be use for tax write off, but same can't be said about the $300 machine lol. Of cause at the end it is all depends on the games that they offer and so far I like what the $300 offer.

Haha wow. It's always cute when people think they know what they're talking about. "Will require additional investment every 2 years". Yeah, if you continously take out your graphics card and smash it with a hammer every 2 years.
I picked option 2 because I can buy more games with the extra money I'd have left over from buying the more affordable system and...well I only have to pay for online if I want to play games online, but I don't have to pay for online to play games in general.
I guess there was some alternate motive to this thread looking at a few responses but not everyone likes what you like so that life, fanboys need to deal with it.
Your opinion and preference is just that, it doesn't make you right are smart because you're a jackass about other people not agreeing with what you believe.
If you're so childish you need to justify and validate the type of choice you make on video games by demonizing everything else to random people online you've got some internal issues to iron out before trying to speak on what other people choose for entertainment.

Year 1 > Very High
Year 2 > High
Year 3 > Medium
Year 4 > not worth playing
You forgot to say that the $60 online fee includes a minimum of 72 "free" games plus a ton of discounts on digital games. Since when can you buy new AAAs on PC for $20??(and claim they're $80 on console) What a dumb poll.

And here I thought your stupidity would end.. Carry on though, it's cute. Or scary, depends on how you look at it.

that really depends on the strength of your neighbor's password
LOL!

Year 4 - get teh CRTZ out
Also, poll is pretty off. You can't get brand new AAA games for $20 on PC. Maybe you can a year or two after a game releases on Steam, but by that point you can get a used copy of that game on a console for the same price.

Some huge credibility there, lets take ps4 which launched at 2013 and take 290x which came bit after ps4 and add any intel cpu from sandy bridge->(older than ps4), run battlefield 1 and what do we get? wayyy above 60fps on ultra settings or Prey which runs at 100+ fps on 1080p with highest settings and last time I checked it was 30fps on ps4.
But yeah you need to upgrade every few months
Come on OP.
I got a PS4 for $400 Canadian. Physical games rapidly drop in price if I wait a couple months. Most of my games bought this gen cost me $10-$40 Canadian. I only bought a couple games day one like MGSV which is a rare exception.
Consoles are cheaper in the long run and they just simply work. I put the game in and it works.
I can't do that with a $1000 PC. I have to download a million drivers and then it tells me to go buy a new graphics card because it runs at 10fps.
@beardtm: more like:
Year 1 - ultra
Year 2 - high
Year 3/4 - med
Year 5/6 - still higher settings than consoles
@Enragedhydra: PC hardware just doesn't last as long as a console IMO. I know, I used to game on a PC, lasted up until my mouse packed in
That is the stupidest statement I've ever heard. If anything it lasts longer much longer. I can use my RX 470 for another 5 years and I would still run my games better than your current gen consoles and the Xbox one X and the new PlayStation. My games running at medium to Ultra on 1080p at minimum 60 going all the way to 100 FPS is better than your 720 30 FPS console.
And don't try and spout this nonsense 4k crap. A 500 dollar console can't run 4k properly, it will run 4k AT BEST 30 FPS if your lucky. I can upgrade my PC to run 4k at 60 FPS if I want to, you can't do that on a console.
Sure it might run fine, but good luck playing it when you've lost the ball in your mouse.
That £1000 pc is going to last a long time. And you're also going to retain access to your games longer into the future compared to a console. For the last few generations I've had to keep my previous console in order to play my older games. PC also gives you access to console emulation and a back-catalog spanning decades. However not everyone can shell out that much money or wants to deal with the extra complexity of getting the right PC.
I already own a high-end PC and a console so neither of those. I need games and the more quality games I get the better. Money isn't a problem for me.
