Which console has the best startup?

PS4 it makes me feel at home just like my vita

Playstion, dreamcast, and Window 95 is what I like more than the choices.

Ahh nice. Yeah, personally Gamecube is my favourite. Wanted to keep it to current gen consoles rather than having loads of options.

OG Xbox has the best start up - easily.

I like my PS3 Slim and PSP startup way more than my PS4 Pro, and even like PS2 more although its more nostalgia than actually liking it which is same as Wii, just heard both so many times.

I've liked my X's startup more than my base Xbox cause it reminds me more of the 360 and OG Xbox start up which were awesome to the max.

All-time best and most nostalgic from each, I really like PS1, Genesis, Gamecube, and OG Xbox, and if I finished off a top 5, I'd add 360 and/or the X. I never owned a Dreamcast but it's kick ass as well,

of the current crop i would go with the X1X.

still they all pale in comparison to the greats like the PS1 start up, gamecube startup (especially if you hold down the Z button i think it was...messes you up if drunk :P), mega drive (SAAEEEGA!).

the PS1 is probably the all time great though.

i suppoe consoles are generally in standby most of the time though so no point in focusing on it too much.

PS4!!!

PS4 probably the worst of any console boring, slow uninteresting just like its games.

Out of those I’d go with the Xbox One X. Overall my two favourites are a toss up between the OG Xbox and the GameCube.

My PC, it takes 10 to 15 seconds to start up, no need for intro music.

PS1

Sega CD, PS2, and Gamecube are my favorites.

Out of those, probably the Switch. My all-time favorites are the Saturn (US) and Dreamcast.

It's random every time. Pretty cool.

Switch, I love the ps4 but it wants me to take a nap not game.

The vita and ps4 are very relaxing which makes me sleepy

Xbox one X by a slim margin. I love the xbox for its distict green color and the PS4 for its distinct dark blue color. But really the start-up screen is not that important, as I just want to load a game immediately.

This gen, The Switch made sure quality games were at the forefront.

All, all, all, all, all time? Probably go with the SNES or the Dreamcast.

Dreamcast especially because it knew the game was up and over from the start. Sega made sure this didn't wind another Saturn.

I still always wax nostalgia with that blue screen singing "Say-Gah" You older gamers just heard it in your head, admit it.

I now this is a console thread but, I gotta agree with GarGx1, the startup is so freaking fast, I'm ready to go in 10 seconds. Lighting fast startup.

Switch, its quirky and says what the system is about.

Xbox One X looks alright

Playstation 4 - Feel at home, gentle and welcoming.

Xbox One - Don't like the sound. Too loud at the start.

Switch - Gentle, positive and kiddy.

Playstation 4 for me. Xbox One comes last.

PlayStation has the best start ups. All of them are excellent.

Xbox One, I guess, but honestly none of the ones for the current gen consoles are anything special. The truly great ones were the PS1, Dreamcast, and Gamecube.

I don't normally see the startup as I mostly keep my console on sleep mode. Interestingly, you only see that full Switch animation once and once only. When you first set it up.

Nothing wrong with the thread it just gives me a chuckle :)

When I think about it the Megadrive is super quick (or my memory is bad) the good old days when games consoles were just that an not "entertainment" boxes they are today :(

Yup, it was fairly speedy back then. The downside was you couldn't save your games lol. (Except for certain ones)

I'm hearing you man, I loved things like the J-cart, mulitap, VMU's and the like, now all you get is apps for all sorts of shit, and movie rentals :( I kinda wish the gaming industry collapses and innovation returns and all the casuals don't lol.
