Where's the hype for Control at?

I remember lems said cows were jealous of Quantum Break and blamed its poor reviews on critic bias. I played part of it on game pass and it was mediocre at best btw.

Well now here's a fully multiplatform spiritual successor to it and there's no hype from either side. Maybe it's time to accept Remedy is a one trick pony and just hasn't been a great studio since Max Payne.

Control does absolutely nothing for me, and I say this as someone who thought Quantum Break was okay.

Waiting on reviews before pulling the trigger.

I am going to play it, but it is a strange game that doesn't easily generate hype.

I’m very interested in it myself. I really enjoyed both Alan Wake and Quantum Break and this game looks very cool. I’ll very likely get it at some point but there is just too many other games coming out in the next month that has me preoccupied right now.

I liked Quantum Break and Control looks like the next logical step up from that. I'll be buying it, not day one but it's on my radar unless the reviews are particularly bad.

It lost Steam so it's dead to me for now.

Haven't seen a lot of it. What I have seen of it doesn't make me interested. Looks like Quantum Break with different powers. Didn't like Quantum Break.

I got a free copy through a video card purchase, so I'll check it out. Not terribly hyped about it since Quantum Break was meh, but we'll see.

Graphics look top notch, though. Might be a new graphics king contender to dethrone Metro/BF5.

I was considering buying it, but then they announced it's an epic store exclusive. That's a hard pass.

I like Quantum Break, this seems similar in some aspects with more focus on gameplay and a mix of Alan Wake weirdness so I'm all in. 8/10

I am interested in this game but probably won’t buy at release. Spent too much on other games and don’t have the time to play it right now.

Hope so too. I always enjoy seeing a game using Telekinesis powers and if it has that, I gotta play it.

As a kid, I always thought Telekinesis powers is the coolest powers and it still is for me at least.

I remember you saying that because Sony has marketing rights for RDR2 that Sony would make R* do parity across both versions of the game, how did that work out for you lol.

Then you said that RDR2 would be best on PS4 because it had exclusive content which you likened it to being like a full exclusive, and I said it would be something pointless like horse armour, or weapon etc and I was close to right lol.

Where did lems call Remedy Microsoft's ND, as that's an insult to Remedy as they're better than ND.

I'm just not sold on it. I want to like Sam Lake's games, but I only really like the first 2 Max Payne games. Alan Wake is okay at best to play and Quantum Break is mad disappointing with the discount Vanquish thing it has going on with the gameplay. I end up usually liking Sam Lake's stories vibe n characters, but the Remedy game hasn't been all that worth my effort.

I'd like to be proven wrong, this new game is like a metroidvania thing apparently. But I just see some bland ass spaces and combat that looks okay with Beth from Quantum Break.

I look forward to playing it once it drops to $20 CAD.

QB definitely hurt my faith in Remedy a bit but I'm still interested in Control.

I think it has a chance to be way better than people are expecting and a sleeper hit of the year but only time will tell. definitely a "wait and see" situation

Remedy hasn't made a bad game so far. In fact I would go so far as to say that Remedy are the only devs that can blend a good story and interesting characters with enticing gameplay.

Even Quantum Break wasn't bad, it was just short.

Control is on my hype list, but I'm still actively avoiding epic games store.

I think it looks good but not in a rush to buy it. Both Gears 5 and Blair Witch come to GamePass soon so I will be busy with those.

But I do want to play it. Hopefully in a few weeks as holiday sales hit I can get it on sale.

I love how this game has Beth Wilder from Quantum Break, the voice actor from Max Payne and the actor from Alan Wake.

Seems like some kind of best-of from Remedy, so happy to see so many familiar faces, and hear so many familiar voices.

I'm mildly interested, but am going to wait for reviews. I really don't feel like I know enough about this game to be hyped for it. So far most of the press on it just talks about how it embraces its weirdness. I dunno, hoping for good things, but not convinced it's worth a preorder.

I don't like the weapons nor the stuff you throw around in the game....i prefer my modern take on shooters.

I'm thinking 70s on Metacritic, and a 6/10 here on GS.

Some parts in the released trailers look interesting, but I can't shake the meh feeling as well.

The gameplay looks basic with shallow errand quests. This is based on what was shown so far. They should have made it a PS4 exclusive so that the current naysayers would claim it to be GOTY like Death Stranding.

I've never seen anyone call Remedy the ND of Microsoft. Also I'm pretty sure ND becomming 3rd party would have the same impact. Most non-Sony-fanboys don't care about Uncharted or tLoU.

It's on my list but I have avoided almost all media surrounding it, so I can't tell you much about why it's on my list. I just liked the concept and had a good feeling about it.

The game demo at E3 was apparently a buggy mess, I don't have high expectations.

No. You're saying the game would have been more highly regarded as a Sony exclusive and I'm saying that's bullshit because it's a guarantee of nothing. But that's not going to stop you from whining, I know.

I'm keeping an eye on it, though for now I don't see it as a must-have. Certainly not enough for me to jump into the EGS for.

It's something that every game has. That's why they call it alpha/beta.

@R4gn4r0k: Lol, they weren't in alpha stage at e3, it's also a demo which are normally heavily curated. Furthermore, Remedy is known for making buggy games. Being more buggy than demos of games like FF7 which won't be out until long after Control is released is a terrible sign. Thanks for the snark though.
