1080p games lmao thats like a super hd tv that cost a lot of money lol dont even know why they thought of 1080p this gen. should have saved all that crap for later on. goes for 360 and ps3.

Lair, Ninja Gaiden: Sigma, and Devil May Cry 4 all are confirmed to be developed in 1080p. You can actually play the 1080p demo of Sigma today, if you'd like. On the market, now, however, I believe there are no 1080p games. Big whoop. They're coming, en masse. Probably 40% of the new games will be 1080p. That's a pretty liberal guess, but three games already confirmed, I'm relatively sure the percentages will improve drastically, and soon.

NBA 2k7, NBA 07, Virtua Tennis3, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Ridge Racer 7 are other games that run natively in 1080p for the PS3. I think there may be a few more.

Sony needs to update the firmware to enable 4D graphics before the 1080p games can be displayed

As long as the PS3 still outputs in frames, it will never have 4D graphics, sorry. It's theoretically possible to add a fourth spacial dimension, but that would be very diffucult to play in. Maybe a analog stick to strafe, an analog stick to turn, and the sixaxis can control ana and kata.

You're basically taking a 1 million pixel image (720p) and in effect stretching it to 2 million pixels (1080p). It can look really pretty but never the same as a true natively rendered 2 million pixel 1080p image. Â

Indeed, I remember reading an article someone posted on the AVS forums and pretty much it looks better than 720p but not quite as good as true natively rendered 1080p.

Yeah..but right now there's one 1080p game on the market which is NBA 07 (the Sony exclusive).
You'd think Sony would actually have some games that cater for this. You're already paying a mammoth price just to play games, and here in Australia "1080" is almost what the price actually is!
