When's the last time you've actually taken upon yourself to warn people away from bad games?

> There I was at my local Gamestop when I overheard a conversation between a feeble old lady and a bloodsucking Gamestop employee trying to get her to buy Halo 5 + insurance for the game + a bunch of DLC or whatever.

> As the succubus employee went to the back to get her the game, I quickly let the poor old woman know about what she's getting into.

> She told me it wasn't for her but for her grandson.

> Wow this kind woman was getting a gift for someone else, I bet she doesn't even game. I bet she doesn't even know about all the conspiracy and controversy plaguing Halo 5.

> I told her about it. I told her about the disappointing story, and that her grandson would hate the game.

> I suggested to her that she should pick up Legacy of the Void instead and explained to her what an actual complete game that holds value is and it's definitely the new Starcraft.

> She thanked me and god blessed me right in front of the employee and told me that I was much more helpful.

I doubt the kid will like Starcraft over halo...

You either made a mistake and ruined a kid gift, or saved the kid by introducing him to a game that require some brainpower usage

Edit: what is game insurance?

Sounds like you act like you do something altruistic, but for the most egocentric reasons ever.

Who are you or who am I to decide what is a bad game or not ? Who are we to decide that even if something is a bad game, the person buying it won't enjoy it ?

I usually don't. Watching people suffer through a bad game is quite enjoyable.

She bought it for a kid.

Starcraft isn't as accessible as Halo.

...

I can't believe anyone would do this.

As much as I prefer Starcraft, was it really a good idea since the kid may not even own a gaming PC or played the previous titles?

Actually, what if the kid only owned a PS4, Wii U or only game on handhelds? What you should have recommended is that the granny should have simply bought a gift voucher.

Story is probably all made up though.

@rektmuhface: what ever you did was non of your business, you can't decide what some one would like or wouldn't like.

Good read TC... I prevent my friends from buying COD every year. But their casual gym bros always force them to do the exact opposite.

I would never be that big of a tool, opinons on games are like assholes everyone's got one. My tastes aren't the same as other people's.

I only purchase games I want to play and have never had a horrible enough experience with a game that would make me go out of my way to express that.

Shame on you TC shame

lmfao.

As did I.

That story was ridiculous, and for fun so here goes. When I lived on Flatbush ave in Brooklyn last year, I would stop and hang with a buddy from the dorm who worked nights at Gamestop. We'd all talk gaming, and talk with customers as they come and go. My go to guide for helping others was: if asked, offer an opinion. But in no way shape or form would I tell an old woman who probably doesnt know that her grandson cant play his new Starcraft on his Xbox one, to not buy what she is going to. He probably asked for that game. Grandma didnt track it and come up with the idea for him I bet. What you did was play "System Wars" with someone else's gaming away from this forum. That is inexcusable.

Obvious troll is obvious. Also, there is little to no discussion content here. Next time blog it and leave it off the forum.
