When do you suspect the Next gen to arrive?

well it's already 2007 almost 2008 the 360 came out in 2005 and ps3 and wii came out 2006. i guess its almost time to start looking forward to whats next. i think the next xbox will arrive in 2010 and the next playstation will be here in 2011. i also think they will be formally introduced atleast a part of the systems at E3 2008, i wonder what will be under the hood DX11!

I hope its a long time away yet. This gen looks like its just taking off, the last thing i would like to see is another console.

I suspect it will be microsoft first, since they have benefited from the lead they gained last time. If they release a new console 2010 or earlier its ridiculous. Especially with how well the 360 is doing right now.

i'm sure they are working on some new interface for games. i think games will change drastically next gen, if games become too realistic that can be scary and fun at the same time, i imagine rough specs to be on the order of 3-4 gigs of XDR(xtreme data rate) memory@5Ghz. a cpu with 80% efficiency rate maybe 8 cores symetrical. not sure if a GPU is even needed but anyway it would miost likely be DX10/DX11 compliant 1000GFLOPS and native res up to 5000p

What? This gen still has years to go. Xbox 360 has almost been out 2 years and the PS3/Wii have been out almost 1 year. This gen is not even near ending. Get back to me in 3-4 years.BioShockOwnz

i know this gebn is still early and im enjoying it and don't want it to end but its only natural to ponder about what next gen will have. didn't we start hearing about the Cell in like 2001(what a bust)

There is no way they are going to show not even a glimpse of the new system, in 2008. im Guessig they will show a glimpse of the new system, sometime in 2010, maybe 2009. an release a new console in 2012. Maybe

I think Nintendo will come out with a new system for real gamers next year, Holidays 2008. They will keep the Wii for the casuals and the new system will be on par with the PS3 and 360. MS will come out with the XXXBox during the Holidays 2009. The PS4 will come out, again during the Holidays of 2011.
