Good game, enjoyed it quite a bit. One major thing I'd like for the next is a fov slider so I dont feel like this:

I mean I can never separate it from BOTW which came out around the same time. It has colored my opinion of the game because in comparison Horizon felt very static and game-y. (In the sense that you cannot climb this, you cannot walk there, this person is only here to stand here all day and the other person is only here to give you a quest.)

I do remember that the visuals looked pretty good. Nothing crazy but good. And I loved the visual designs of some of the enemies. I enjoyed the combat for as long as the game lasted but I did feel I was getting tired of it a couple hours before the end. So it had a good length, maybe a tiny bit too long. Maybe there were too many sidequests that weren't super interesting, but I do remember enjoying some of the challenge missions.

And I remember two things about the story: The story itself was really bad. It was surprisingly bad imo. Almost no explanation, extremely weak antagonist and if things were kept mysterious to build tension it didn't work. The characters in the story were not memorable. In contrast the presentation of the story was extremely well done. I loved the scene where you see the people who were there before etc. So it was like a big contradiction. They obviously knew how to present a story very well, better than most great games, but the story itself was just lame as **** especially the 'enemy' in the game and the 'ending' was so poorly done.

So I loved some things about it, and I disliked some things about it. I thought it was a good game in general. The trailer for the sequel is promising. Because it made the world seem a little more dynamic. I don't really have faith in the story but that's not typically what keeps me playing anyway.

Biggest question is: is the sequel coming to the PC because I'm not buying a PS5 for it.

Really good aesthetics and lore but the gameplay gets repetitive by the half way mark, open world is bland and empty with nothing interesting to do sadly.

I loved the game and found the combat a lot of fun. And yes, i'd agree some side quests were kinda boring, but most side quests are in these type of games. World map and creature models looked great as well.

10/10 for me, in my top 20. Although stealth is as shit as elder scrolls, and the crap system continues with ghosts of tsushima.

Be 11/10 when it can be enjoyed in 144 FPS.

The premise is great, but I got bored relatively quickly. The inventory system is terrible, the exploration is okay, and it relies heavily on grinding. But the rest of the game is pretty much masterful imho. I still have to finish it.

I played a bit of it when it first came out, but I need to go back (I think a game I was more interested in came out just after it). I enjoyed what I played.

Looks pretty. Gameplay is average and would have been better with a mouse and keyboard, considering you shoot a bow for 80 percent of the combat. The protagonist is dull. Storytelling was not really good and relied too much on the tired old audiologs and crap.

3/5

When i bought I might played it for 10 hours and gave up on it. I honestly had open word fatigue just couldn’t get in to it after witcher 3. After a year or so i had nothing to play so i decided to give it another try and think its a great game. Played it until I got a platinum and played the DLC too. Good story and gameplay size of the world is just right not too overwhelming. Better than witcher gta or rdr if u asked me

@IgGy621985: how does it rely on grinding? I suppose you could grind... I didn't make any effort to level, personally. I just played the game and leveling happened as a function of that.

It felt grindy. Sidequests are pretty much same-ish.

Yeah. The "grinding" part is my personal opinion. I like to do a lot of sidequests in my open-world games. Mostly because I love to dive into the game for a while. That's why I loved The Witcher 3. But if my time is completely wasted by copy-paste quests, then screw it. I wouldn't bother finishing the main quest.

After playing Breath of The Wild and TW3 the gameplay didn't impress me at all. Great graphics though. Finished the main game and DLC after a year of owning them, played it out of boredom.
