- I "100%" Ocarina of Time back in the late 90's with no help from the internet whatsoever
- I placed 1st in the Street Fighter III tournament of my hometown in 2002
Yeah nothing to write home about lol. What about you fellas?

I beat Super Mario Bros when I was like 9 years old. Seriously, I love games but my skills were never great lol.
only thing i could think of is playing tmnt the arcade game on xbox live and beating it.
they only give you like 8 continues or something.... i forgot....so i had to work as a team with the other random guys.... at the end with shredder i was the only 1 left and i beat him....got the achievement for beating it.
i cant beat zelda 2 without save states.
It was 1994, I was a young broker at Kensington Wells in NY. We would get together on friday nights, drink, smoke and gamble. We had a crew of apprentices and brokers at our place on LI Sound and the bets on who would win, me or this guy Marc in NHL 95 started going. He chose Chicago, I took NYR. After 2 periods I was down 4-1. ERUPTION in the third. The final was 7-5 my win and somewheres around $200 in my pocket.
Probably just Master Ninja on Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden 2. And to be fair that's probably more a testament of how fucking stubborn I am/was. I like to tell myself I'll never put myself through something like that again, and just play Ninja Gaiden on bitch mode for the rest of eternity.
Won $500 in a FIFA Tournament at my university.
The final was Man City (Her) vs Dortmund (me). Game went to extra time and I ended up winning 4-3. Used that $500 to buy my nephew a PS4 and Fifa and proceeded to whoop his ass on his brand new console:P
I have a few racing times that are top of the world/Oceania (last time i checked) and was the first person in the world to get a 1000 gamerscore on a certain 360 game.
I think it was beating Colonization (DOS-game) as a 10 year old who could not read English. It was a couple years later that I realized the game was about the USA and the change of flag was a declaration of independence and the motherload of troops that were suddenly angry at me were the Europeans. I also remember being most confused about a couple people standing in a room saying things. XD I think that was a voting system or such. And I got kinda frustrated with the game eventually because I never figured out what made my flag change to the American flag. XD
Gameplay for those who don't remember/know the game. ^_^
(Also I don't recall having the luxury of using a mouse for that game. I made a lot of sugar because I liked the icon more than corn. And I always tried to befriend the indians cause they made cool music happen, and I think they cause you to unlock my favorite unit the dragoon (I loved the name and because they were on horseback they were like a marriage between the indians and my troops in my mind). I remember my favorite ship being the Galleon cause it was a really fat ship and I thought it was cute. It was very expensive looking so I would always make sure to have a couple of those (probably filled with sugar) as a sign of our wealth.)
Probably an all zones clear of Crypt of the Necrodancer using the Bard (It's a single life run).
S ranked an Ikaruga stage, which im fairly happy about.
I was numerically ranked (top 200 gets a number, rest get an ELO) in Trackmania 2: Stadium.
I have no idea really. Finishing every optional boss in every Disgaea? Defeating every weapon in FF7 as a kid? Beating Civ 6 on the highest difficulty rating? Getting every Pokémon without any hacks or cheats?
@Juub1990:
Depends on what you consider amazing but I do have some of that-there achievements.
Finished Halo 1-4 on Legendary single player.
100% on Metal Gear Solid 5
100% on Batman Arkham series and beat at highest difficulty.
Finished Tomb Raider Anniversary, Legend and Underworld on highest difficulty and 100%
Just two major gaming achievements I done in my life are:
Beat XCOM 2 on Ironman mode. 30 tries and 125 hours later I finally did it lol.
Got the Big Boss Emblem from Metal Gear Solid 4
A few off the top of my head are:
- being able to keep playing Contra without continuing or using the Konami code. The game just keeps looping so eventually I had to just stop.
- beating Sparkster on the SNES on Crazy Hard difficulty
- beating Gears of War 1, 2, 3, and 4 on Insane difficulty solo
- beating Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3 on Insane difficulty
- beating Halo 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 on Legendary difficulty solo
I dont think enough of my gaming skills to call any of it impressive :p
Idk, perhaps beating ultimate doom on nightmare? That was more an exercise in needless, self inflicted torture then an accomplishment though. What a great use of my time lmao
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3- I managed to beat the last boss with one hit left only to find out that it wasn't the last boss. There was another fight. Basically you have to fight Tobi then two tailed beasts, Tobi again then two more tailed beasts, Tobi again then the last two tailed beasts. It took me all damn day until I finally beat his ass without getting touched lol
100% completion on the gamecube version of Sonic heroes and the wii version of sonic unleashed.
Was possibly in the top five in the world at one point in the wii version of sonic unleashed and had the world record for like half a decade on the first boss in that game.
Have a bunch of records in sonic and the secret rings that are like a second away from the actual world record and in some cases like a few milliseconds away from the world record.
Collecting all 386 Pokemon during the Hoenn era, including the promotional characters obtainable only by attending real-world events (Deoxys and Jirachi, as far as my memory serves me). I have since retired from Pokemon collecting, but it was the capstone to my childhood.
Since then, I have earned platinum trophies in Shadow of the Colossus, P4G, MGSV, and TLOU, which are all considered difficult due to skill or time sink. I have a stable of noteworthy platinums, but you can peruse them if you care to at the PSN ID in my signature.
I was banned several times in Battlefield 2 for hacking. Usually for "aimbotting". I did not hack though, I just pwned n00bs and the server admins would get all butthurt. Finally one day I was banned for "Being too good for this server". That gave me a laugh.
@Juub1990:
Numerous 1st to 5th places in local and national Counter Strike 1.5/1.6 tours ( though scene here is not big in the first place )
Numerous 1st/3rd place in local arcades in small tours on Tekken 2/3
Diamond rank on LEague of legends
Supreme rank on Counter Strike Go
Among 10 first toons that hit level 60 on World of Warcraft Vanilla on server
Server First Ragnaros Kill WoW vanilla
Rank 11 on pvp WoW vanilla with WORLD kills alone ( rogue )
Among top 100 paladins in Diablo 2 for 2 seasons straight WITHOUT botting
Many oldschool ARCADE games cleared with 1 coin including : Street Fighter 2 , Sunset Riders , Metal Slug X , Street Hoop , Super Sidekicks , Tekken 2 , Tekken 3 , Raiden ( even if game never ends ) , Midnight Resistance , Cadilacs and Dinosaurs , Sega Rally 2 , Virtua Striker 2 and more
Finished few consoles games without losing once after learning how to : Sonic the Hedgehog , Resident Evil and few more.
Beating Zelda II: the Adventure of Link...hardest game I've ever played, bar none.
Zelda II on the NES? It didn't seem that hard. Of course, I was on a competition with another gamer to see who can finish the game first.
I played Falcon 4.0 against some real (A-10) pilots via LAN. I got whupped. But, I still enjoyed it. Same thing with FSX.
Idk... I did so much sh*t... but one that stuck with me for being batshit crazy was beating Killzone 2 on Elite mode... the Radec fight made me pull my hair out and now I'm getting bald because of it... :'(
I havent done something as crazy as beating a hard game like NG on its hardest mode (Master Ninja)... and I probably never will. I beat NGS2 on Path of the Master though (hard mode) and I think I'm sticking with it...
Unfortunately both of these achievements were on my old account so I cant even gloat about them...
I got a platinum trophy for a PS4 game. I consider that an achievement since most trophy collectathons are boring to me so I NEVER bother with them.
I tend to set my own goals with games, and usually achieve them. But something impressive to boast about?
I played FF13 five times start to finish. That's gotta count for something right?

Dammnnn! The only Final Fantasy that I played twice was FFX and the only reason I did was as a story refresher before FFX-2 came out. Little did I know how terrible that game would be. So much wasted time smh
I've finished so many games over the past 30 years I can't really think of 1 thing that stands out. The games I had the hardest time finishing were either Ninja Gaiden or Castlevania on the nes. Modern games just don't compare in difficulty. The 3 hardest modern games I finished were Ninja Gaiden Black Bayonetta and Dark Souls. I finished Dark Souls without summoning anyone or a guide. It took me a year to finish Dark Souls. I had a impressive win streak in COD MW2. I won 162 games without loosing in search and destroy over a period of a week. Of course I had a friends I played with though. We had a couple pro's join our games to watch.
Platinum trophy for Dead Space 2 which involves the dreaded hardcore run. This is easily my best achievement.
Runner up goes to unlocking the Traitor class in Rogue Legacy... which involves beating all of the secret uber bosses. Took me a few days of training for each boss.
recently(ish):
getting to Masters level in Dirt Rally career mode.
otherwise:
getting to number 25 on the 2v2 leaderboard in Dawn of War 2 Retribution

Yeah, I thought it was hard as hell...even more so that Castlevania III and all of the Mega Man games lol.

I'd argue X-2 is one of the three best FF games ever made.
